Comedians who only (or mostly) tell jokes about sex or poo are OK for the student crowd. Young people always think they're the first to laugh at "taboo" subjects. They think they're being radical and sniggering behind the backs of the old idiots who have never lived, let alone had sex. I know I did when I was younger. Now, not so much. It's pretty boring and unimaginative when there's so much more to the human condition.

There was a very funny comic this Saturday on Britains Got Talent. His jokes were derived from his everyday life with his family. They were funny because he was able to describe situations that were all recognisable but hilarious. We said st the time that it was a real change not to hear a swear word throughout.

Dave Allen - handsome, funny, genius

No Tommy Cooper didn't do it for me either BlueBelle. But Dave Allen was memorable.

Nobody can compare to Dave Allen. He was a handsome, clever, very funny genius the likes of which we have never seen again.

Well didn’t find them funny either 🤣 especially Tommy Cooper

Mickey Flanagan can be funny without resorting to downright crudeness - same as Gary Delaney, he can deliver great one liners but can't seem to survive without the lavatorial/body functions jokes.

I wonder if the likes of Tommy Coper, Eric Morecambe etc, would have made it in the world of comedy these days.

I ve heard of him but can’t think who he is so he must be memorable 🤣🤣🤣

Liz46... I agree that is a very funny story.

I've heard of him but can't remember watching him, but there are so many so called comedians now who have to rely on filth to get a laugh, years ago you could watch a comedy act with your family, now it can be quit embarassing, not all of them but quite a few

I’ve never heard of him either.

Micky Flanagan on Delhi belly is hilarious - maybe not if you are easily offended. We have had quite a lot of holidays in India and have not suffered as badly as he did!

I’ve never heard of him! 🤷‍♀️

Watched Micky Flanagan last night, he admits he’s too lazy to work very often. We were so disappointed. He was relying on filth for laughs. He jokes about his posh house which isn’t remotely funny in these hard times. We won’t bother in future. What a waste of previous talent.
