Hope things have improved Primrose! Last night, after a long tiring day doing gardening we decided we would just have a snack. In the process my husband managed to violently shake a bottle of balsamic glaze so the top flew off and the contents went all over the worktop and on the floor. He proceeded to tear off one piece of kitchen roll and dab it on the floor. I said move aside and let me do it properly! He went in the other room and I proceeded to make my sardines on toast; in my frustration I pulled the ring pull too hard and the whole lot went on the floor where the sticky balsamic had been. I had to get the steam cleaner out at 9.00pm after which I went to bed!!

Hope you're up now and everything is going better, Primrose after a second start to the day. Sometimes it's a good idea to go back to bed and have a reset.

Oh Primrose, what a rotten start! Can only get better though, perhaps you might need a little something alcoholic with your lunch. Hope life has improved now.

Hope you managed to doze off for a few minutes, so that you can then wake up again to a better start! I think you should definitely award yourself some cheering thing, whether it is a strong cup of coffee or a bun or whatever and in the meantime give a couple of pillows or cushions a bash or two to relieve the feelings.

My lovely Mum used to call those days a 'clashy back end'!

Hope the the day improves when you venture out of your cosy bed

Oh Primrose I feel your pain. The day can only get better - I really hope it does.

Oh goodness Primrose! Just stay in your cosy bed for a while and then press 'Re-start' and have another go.

Oh, we all have those kind of days from time to time, don't we! These things are sent to try us. Hope your day improves from here on in.

Have come back to bed as my day has not started well.

Woken up by the phone ringing at 7.50. A Bank holiday! Ran to the spare room/office and stubbed my toe on part of a table we put in there to store. nobody answered. I rang the mobile number back and somebody answered sounding very sleepy but denied that a call had been made from that number to us and they put the phone down.

Went downstairs and husband had been woken up too. I went to empty his urine bottle down the loo and tipped it over my legs, the seat and the floor. Had to clean up and disinfect.

Went to make a cup of tea and realised I had not taken my bed time tablets which were still on the side. It was cold downstairs and I realised I had not set heat to come on.

I am now back in bed with a cup of tea as this must surely be the safest place for me for a while.
