It could be an innocent mistake. Someone shows an old school photo to someone else and they try to put names to faces from 50 or more years ago. Someone mistakes Ann for Barbara and tags them wrongly on social media. The picture and tag gets shared again and again.

Maybe it's Ann herself who has mistaken herself for Barbara. When I look at old class photos, we all look very similar.

Presumably you can report the post and ask FB, or group administrators if it’s been shared in a group, to address the error.

Facebook seems to have this problem all the time. Keep getting posts telling me various people have been hacked. What with that and so many AI videos I am getting fed up with it.

Not me but I’ve had lots of friend requests from people using friend’s photos who aren’t them, when they’ve been hacked. You can report the account to Facebook if they’re pretending to be you

I haven't, but then I can't imagine that anyone would want to claim to be the rather plain, skinny kid that I was. We didn't have individual photographs taken at my school, just all 700 of us standing and sitting on benches or on the grass with teachers etc. ensconced in chairs. You had to spend ages looking at the long roll of the photograph to find yourself and your friends, even when you knew roughly where you were all standing. I think I might still have those photographs stored away – I shall have to have a rummage.

No I haven’t and haven’t heard of any of my friends or acquaintances having it either I ve been on FB maybe 15/ 20 years but always kept my privacy settings to friends and family only and not really had any problems
