Good morning from a beautiful warm and sunny N Norfolk. Lovely day yesterday pottering in antique shops and eating fish and chips. Today a visit to a local tea room and a walk on the beach, not sure what else.
Best wishes to all

Welcome home GG you brought the sunshine back with you. ☀️.
Happy boat cleaning Sar . I’m sure the new car drive will be fine.👍
Good morning everyone.
North Leicestershire is bright and sunny. I have the start of a new Carer Learning session today. It is in our local town so there are sure to be people I know attending. - it is usually lovely to catch up with people but sometimes they take a whoie to thaw in the odd circumstances.
As it's a new venue I have no idea what to wear - is there air-conditioning? Big windows? I usually get it wrong.
Morning Mick, morning All. A sunny day ahead, wonderful
We went to an NT tulip extravaganza (well, that’s what they call it,
) yesterday, loved wandering through an orchard sprinkled with muting coloured blooms. Nothing like
Good morning from a sunny N. Bucks.
Some ironing to get out the way first. Then, a birthday cake to decorate.
Craft club this afternoon and then up to see youngest DGS who is 4 today. Tea
and cake with him and family.
WI committee meeting this evening..
wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.
Good morning from a beautiful day here on the Essex coast, wall to wall sunshine.
DH and I need to visit the bank first thing, then I am going to do some cleaning on the boat.
He is going away for the night with a friend on his boat so I shall come home later driving our new car, which I am a little nervous about driving.
S had her first biologic injection yesterday. Hopefully she feels OK and can attend school today.
I hope everyone has a good day and finds some sun xx
Need to get showered and dressed before the scaffolders arrive - if they do, not holding my breath as they were 24 hours late erecting the stuff. Singing this afternoon if the job is done in time. Plumber finally turned up at 5.00 pm yesterday, agreed that I need a new mixer tap and now I await details of what is advised. If getting it fitted takes as long as getting him here I will have a leaky tap for several more weeks. All very irritating, but at least we are promised another lovely day.
Good morning from Shropshire. It is already getting warm.A high of 23 today.
Today we are off to Llandudno to the matinee of Chicago.A nice change after all the medical appointments. We will take a picnic lunch then eat out this evening. There are seals at a beach not far from Llandudno so we will have our picnic there and hope to spot them🦭I have a new sun hat to wear.Although not a hat person one of my medications mean I am very susceptible to getting burnt.
Gorgeous pictures Ash.
Sorry you have been unwell Blue.Hope you are feeling better and can enjoy the rest of your cruise.
Have a lovely break Kalu.
Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s sunny already and apparently will be 26°C! This weather is reminding us how Spain will be next week. 🌞 I’m off to the optician’s later with a kings ransom to pick up a pair of Tom Ford designer eyewear (sunglasses to you and me) that I’ve paid ££s hundreds to have prescription lenses fitted. I wear varifocals and without them sunglasses alone are only any use on a sunlounger! I just decided I was worth it. 😁
Good morning from my little corner of S E Essex, blue skies and warm.
It was good to be home and sitting in my garden yesterday. Thirty minutes of quiet then two GC arrived…
Gym first thing then it will be ironing, I may do it in the garden.
Good morning all and it’s another beauty!
I don’t think I posted yesterday as it was a busy one.
Physio and Occupational therapist- both giving a really good hour each to Dh. Amazing service from the NHS.🌟.
Our neighbour round the corner , whose building work has given us a lot of noise for the last 3 months, came round with a bottle of wine and an offer to get all our windows cleaned.
They are a lovely little family , very apologetic and respectful, so what can you do! Dh is very annoyed but he didn’t say much (stroke). 😬.
A quiet day today just with a friend visiting for a coffee. Dh doesn’t really want visitors (not a social man at the best of times)), but this one is a whirlwind , chatty and won’t stay long.
She’s our old neighbour , known her for nearly 50 years so she understands dh well. .
Take care all and make the most of the day.,🪴
Good morning Mick and all GN's on another bright and sunny morning in North Yorkshire.
I plan to repeat yesterdays start to the day, by putting the washing on and then getting outside , while it is cool enough to work in the garden. It took me quite a lot of effort, only able to do one or two clumps at a time, but am pleased with the results. I managed to dig big annoying clumps of grass up and then just chucked them upside down , so that the sun does the work for me and dries the soil and the roots. Today can shake the soil off the ones I have done and get rid of the weeds themselves and going to try to do as many as possible that are left, while it is easier to get whole clumps up. It doesnt seem that long ago that I would have done the whole border at one go! Well I wouldnt have let it get so bad anyway. Never mind some progress is made, and they talk of showers tomorrow, so need to make the most of it.
My planned day worked well as I stayed outside until the sun got too hot and then inside, where I had windows open and curtains mostly closed to keep the place cool. Felt rather weary after the garden efforts, but managed to do some jobs and in between watched some of the snooker. In the afternoon finding other things to stick in the recycling box, and then changed into my linen trousers getting ready for my trip to the gamers evening. Went to the fridge for something and dont know why but something must have caught it , but a bottle of white wine, which I had put in there to cool down, fell with an almighty crash, spreading broken glass and wine all over me and the floor. Trousers were soaked, so it took me some time to clear the floor, mop up and clear up the glass. I then went for a shower and change of clothes, so that was not planned for the day!
I went on the buggy to the meeting , as it was lovely and cool in the open air, and it was a pleasant evening, though rather mind boggling as it was a new game that this person had invented, so new to everyone. Of course , the expert players have a basic understanding of the way the majority of games are played so picked up the ideas quickly, but I was definitely struggling to understand much of it. However they have promised that next week one of the games played will be something I have tried before, so hopefully I will not be such a dunce at that this time.
It was still warm but pleasant when I came away so took the opportunity to go to Tesco on the way home. Not a time I usually go there , and there were lots of cages etc to manoevre round as they were restocking, but a brilliant time to get some frozen things and of course very few people about, and so home.
Today I shall have a little advantage with the buggy, as there are notices up for no car parking on the high street from today. The fair is coming today , so there will be the market in the morning, and then later in the afternoon the fair will be setting up ready for tomorrow. So as I am able to go on the paths I shall still be able to visit the market, so will stop working in the garden a little earlier, to allow me to get down the market before it gets too hot. Tonight it is the whist drive as usual, so it will be enjoyable and as I have played since I was 4 , I can relax and will feel less stupid than last night!
Mick I do hope you can find out why you are losing weight a lot. We are never happy with our weight, it is always too little or too much, but you never hear anyone saying I am just the weight I want to be.
Karmalady The ice cream making sounded good. I expect it needed a lot of tasting to check!
Blue Sapphire sorry you are not feeling so good. Hope things improve for you.
Well my washing machine is making odd noises so need to go to the rescue I think Hope everyone has a good day and enjoys the weather
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and very still. There's quite a bit of cloud about. Bellasnana lovely nails. I'm quite jealous as my nails break very easily. GrandMattie I hope you can get the phone problem sorted. It must be extremely annoying, especially when you are paying for it!
Yesterday was quietly busy. The boys were just delightful albeit messy. I tidied up after I'd dropped them off at school, then hung out a wash, made mince in the slow cooker, hoovered throughout and weeded the garden. Squirrels have been decimating my muscari pots which is rather annoying. I stayed with dgs2 at his house until his daddy came home. Dd had taken dgs1 to his swimming lesson. We played holidays where all his toys were on the beach. He has a great imagination. Later on, dd dropped off my KitchenAid.
I'll do a little ironing this morning and water the garden pots. This afternoon I'll head to the school library for a while. The rest of the time, I'll potter about the garden.
Brook a safe journey to you.
Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where another warm sunny day is forecast. There was a cool breeze yesterday, so I didn’t sit out in the garden. I went to the garden centre in the morning and bought more weed killer which I shall use today. Then went on to the farm shop and bought some local asparagus amongst other things!
My neighbour cut my lawn yesterday, and that looks nice and tidy, but the edges need cutting now.
I must go for a walk today, then do some ironing. Otherwise nothing much planned, perhaps I’ll sit in the garden later.
karma your clotted cream ice cream sounds delicious!
blue what a shame you had to miss your tour yesterday, I hope you feel better today.
Have the best day possible everyone!
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Yesterday was indeed fabulous. I went for a long walk through bluebell woods.
I can't sit in the sun for long.
Gaelic class began again. It's busy!
Yarn group today, community lunch and preparing for my new Helper who is due tomorrow. She may be watering the garden.
I took a while to recover from the latest covid booster too gMattie. I had mine on Easter Sunday and was asleep until Tuesday.
Have a great time Kalu 😊
Sorry you aren't feeling well BlueSapphire and hope you are better soon.
I want some of your icecream too Karmalady 😋
Hoping everyone has the best day possible.
Good morning from a dry NE where another sunny day is expected.
Yesterday's meeting with the financial advisor was rather disturbing and gave me a lot to think about.
Went shopping in the afternoon and bought myself a new mattress topper, hope this helps my aches and pains.
Window cleaner coming today so will go and unlock the gates before starting the laundry.
Have a good day.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be another warm one in South Yorkshire. I went early to the gym yesterday and came home the pretty way through quiet pristine countryside with the car radio playing the slow movement of a Beethoven piano concerto. A feast for the eyes and the ears. I can’t remember the last time I felt so utterly peaceful. The way I usually go home is nose to tail traffic at that time of the morning. School in the afternoon and then a lengthy chat with GS who rang me at tea time, during which he used his current favourite phrase - “Do you mind if I make a suggestion?” His suggestions aren’t usually helpful, and this one wasn’t either, but he’s an absolute joy😊.
Writers group at the library this afternoon.
Have the best day you can, folks.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I think it’s going to be another beautiful day.
I will collect my charm bracelet today. The jeweller has fixed three new charms on it which OH bought me for Christmas. I don’t think there’s room for any more!
Later we will visit a Roman Villa about an hour away. I’ve been before but not OH. They have a cafe so I think we’ll have a light lunch there.
Have a good day.
Good morning everyone from a rather grey day in the western Med, the second of our two sea days on the way to Malaga. Hope it brightens up for our visit tomorrow. Yesterday was glorious, wall to wall sunshine.
I have been taking it easy since Monday, as I have come down with a sore throat and cold, which also meant I did not feel well enough to go ashore in Sicily for my booked walking tour of the old city. Been dosing myself up with paracetamol and Lemsip (plus honey purloined from the breakfast buffet!) I seem to get a cold on every cruise, so I come well prepared!
Am hoping to get to the second of Phil Vickery's cookery demonstrations today, went to the first on Sunday which was very good; lots of useful little tips shared.
Tonight should be eating with a friend in the Asian restaurant on board.
Take care everyone and have a good day. (Shhhhh, the sun is trying to peep through!)
Good morning from South Lanarkshire, a beautiful day in store for us.
We plan to visit a favourite NT property on the coast today, I may take a picnic.
Busy day in the charity shop yesterday. I do enjoy all the little chats with regular customers as well as meeting new people. Yesterday’s weather was fine so we had a few visitors just here for a wander and lunch somewhere.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning all. It’s a beautiful sunny morning in Glasgow. A perfect start to the day.
Some basic housework and final packing to finish before DD1 arrives at 11.00. To do list to tick off of which I am solely responsible for now before leaving the house then we will be off.
Wishing all a pleasant day and a less worrisome one for those in need of one.
Good morning from s somerset, more wall to wall sunshine today and nice and cool at night
I have an old (1985) heavy gaggia ice cream maker, it has gone with me whenever I moved house and has its own place of residence in my utility room. I used it yesterday, to make clotted cream ice cream and have ended up with a dozen small tubs in my freezer. My husband used to lurk close when I made ice cream, for any tasting opportunity
Afternoon was time for me to sort some clothes, while keeping warm layers handy. That was satisfying and successful, I have done half, also bit the bullet about never being thinner, in spite of exercise and salads. CS for a nice bagful today
I am thankful that nights are cooler than day and just now the house is reflecting heat from the sun, inside is very pleasant to be in during the day, no build-up, yet
I popped up to my plot to water my delicate parsnip seeds during the evening, 2 cars from outside my development were parked very badly, would cause an obstruction to any emergency vehicle. I inched past and inched back, no point me getting hot under the collar. There are plenty of people living here who have the ability, including two police persons. I quite like the old lady card at times
Today will be more wardrobe sorting after a tip run. I also want to get my sister a special card, we had a good heart to heart last night and I want to send her a surprise uplift.
Have a good day
Good morning from Malta where we expect a sunny day with a high of 26°C.
The boys kept me busy yesterday, no nap again so they were extremely active!
I took them with me to get my nails done and both behaved very well. They chose the colour for me and were happy playing with a big box of toys kindly provided by my sweet nail technician.
Gorgeous photos of the gardens yesterday Ash, really stunning.
This morning the boys have Sports Day at nursery so I’m going to watch then I’ll take them home, probably via the park, while DD3 goes back to work.
Wishing you all a good day.☀️
