Welcome back Multi and hope you keep feeling much better,Taichi
Marydoll, thank you for you concern; I think it is nothing more than a cold; the sore throat has gone, and now have a cough - there seems to be a lot of it about on the ship!
Good Morning from a glorious Co Armagh ,
I have the greenhouse well ventilated
Club was different today we were treated to country and western music courtesy of a member bringing her favourite dvd
Home and what to have for lunch!
I wrote a long post yesterday but forgot to press send so I’ll shut up now ….
Wishing all a pleasant day
A beautiful morning here in Co Durham.
Just put Sainsbury’s delivery away so having a rest. 😀
Fgt2, the price of glasses is dreadful. Like Marydoll l have Transition lenses on my everyday varifocal pair, as I have a problem with glare, but I’ve just got some polarised varifocal prescription sunglasses, they are amazing. My old sunglasses weren’t polarised and the difference is staggering. The price for both though…….😱
I’ve just booked train tickets for two trips. First class return Darlington to Edinburgh were only £2 dearer than a return to Preston on the dreadful Northern trains. Preston is a three hour journey station to station and the train across the Pennines is so slow but worth it to see my sister. We haven’t been in each other’s company for five months.
Some fab photos today.
Hope all travellers have easy journeys and those with worries have a better day.
I will look out for Jane Gardam GrandMattie. Glad you’re feeling better multiclourswapshop.
Good morning all from sunny Lancashire.
Our broadband is now working fine following the Openreach switch over to full fibre. BT have been slow to activate the landline but it seems to be working now.
We are replacing our rather ancient BT phone with a digital voice one, which has to be charged before I can finish installing it. Once that’s done we will be good to go. I have found the last week hard going!
Happy Wednesday all 🌹
Good morning all from a sunny warm Angus coast. The first wash is on the line, with another just about ready to go out. What is it with sunny mornings!
I've had a bad few days due to having put my back out moving too many boxes around, but a couple of days of rest - not even any tai chi! - and today it seems to have righted itself. I shall be careful though, and let the machines take the strain. The fish will be well counted as well 😉
I haven't read through the thread yet, so have that to look forward to. Have a good day everyone, and enjoy the heatwave. And welcome back to multicoloured swap shop - sorry you've had a bad time. Enjoy your day at the Fayre.

I meant DD is an excellent PA😁
Good morning from sunny Berkshire.
Yesterday I had a lovely boat trip on the river with DD and then shopped for new trainers. DD felt I was not getting enough support from my Clark’s ballet flats. I now have expensive trainers which look like a rocket launch pad, but are very comfortable, like walking on air and give good support. They might help my bad back and cramp flare ups. DD is an executive PA.
In the evening we had a nice meal at the restaurant on a marina, a beautiful end of the day sunset and the pretty yachts. We bumped into one of her flying colleagues who was very amusing.
Today coffee with another of her tans a visit to a local garden. Another attraction around here to tick off my list. I hope the abscess stays quiet🙄
I leave for the north tomorrow and have been so blessed with the weather.
Welcome back multicolours and thoughts to all.
Welcome back Multi 👋 enjoy your day.
Morning from a sunny S Hants, 14 already.
Pretty nails Bellas mine wouldn’t last 5 minutes, hands always in the dirt.
Bedding and another load of washing dried beautifully yesterday, more seeds sown - beetroot, it’ll be French beans today and courgettes.
Book club this afternoon, I failed to read Nelson’s daughter, just gave up, hope the next one appeals more.
Safe journey brook with no delays, enjoy your break Kalu I lived near Perth as a child.
🦩🦩
Good morning everyone. I’m back on line again after a dreadful few months . Today is going to be quite hot and I’m so looking forward to going to a local Spring fayre where I’ll meet up with lots of friends and acquaintances, sausages and an egg for breakfast with fresh orange juice and a cup of tea.
Have a good day and for those in the sunshine today get a high factor cream on lots of hugs to you all - take care
Safe travels Brook
Jane GARDAM
Lovely photos, Ash.
I was saddened to see that Jane Garda has died. She lived in Sandwich and I’d see her in church and around and about.
She wrote some lovely gentle books; on of my favourites being “Old F.I.L.T.H” which stood for “Failed in London, try hong kong”… 😂. If you haven’t read any of her books, do try and find one, before the libraries remove them from their shelves.
Good Morning from a dry, sunny Durham. It’s going to be warm.
The Chiropodist gave me some tips and exercises for my foot yesterday, but recommended painkillers and rest too.
The chimney sweep is coming late morning, I hope that goes to plan. Another tick off my list.
I suspect after posting that Mick doesn’t read the thread, but mentioning the weight loss frequently, is obviously a concern and like others, I think he should seek some advice.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a gorgeous sunny start to the day
Hope everyone out and about today has a lovely time enjoying the warm weather
Gorgeous nails Bellas perfect for the summer
Thanks grandmabatty, we’ve just arrived at Inverness airport for a flight down to Heathrow and then onto México City - it’ll be a long day 😕
Hope things settle down now for your DGD Sar
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning from sunny Cambridgeshire where I plan to enjoy sitting in my garden not doing a lot today. DH is going cycling with his cycle friend and lunch out so peace and quiet (🤞) and my book. The jobs can wait until the weather breaks! DD2 has Wednesdays off though and may have plans that may include me and I wonder if I can stay under the radar 😂
Have a good day everyone
Good morning from another lovely sunny day in Suffolk . It was quite cool in the late evening so easy to sleep.
Off tomy keep fit class in about an hour and then I’ll take DH for his covid jab this afternoon. The battery in his car needs replacing and he doesn’t like driving my car which is manual. He has driven automatics for years which I don’t like. I foresee difficulties if we have to just have 1 car in the future!
Beautiful photos of the tulipsAsh and good to know Gingster that you are getting the service you should have and no doubt need for your DH from the beleaguered NHS.
I forgot to wish Kalu a great holiday. Prthshire will be lovely!
Good morning all from a sunny Black country, washing on the line.
Early start back on playgroup duties it will be good to see DiL haven't seen her for a few weeks, she has been working when we've seen DS and the boys.
May have a takeaway this evening will see how lazy I feel after playgroup.
Hope the poorlies are getting some respite, safe travels those on the move.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans ☀️
Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is only 5°C.
I've had yet another dreadful night, waking every hour on the hour. I was early to be last night, (so unlike me) didn't feel too good.
Bella, I have nail envy. Mine just won't grow and my fingers have hacks, despite gallons of handcream.
FGT, I have always had transition lenses on my varifocals, it means I don't require sunglasses. The new glasses I have are excellent.
I had a lovely morning with DD yesterday. I had just arrived at Silverburn, when DD messaged to see if I was going there. As I came out of the multi story, there she was! She can read my mind!
The purpose of my visit was to go to M&S food hall. I shouldn't have bothered. The shelves were empty!
We had a wee wander, coffee and Tesco. After she left, I decided to go to TKMaxx. There again, I found a beautiful garden pot, at an amazing prize and nearly killed myself, trying to lift it into my trolley. If DH had been there, I would have bought more.
Today, I will go to Mass, check the raffle ticket money and see what donations we have for the fête. Then over to the doctor's and back to supervise the garden refurb.
The chukkies etc, arrived yesterday, so DH is champing at the bit.
I will post a photo of the pots Litterpicker, now the compost has arrived and the plants I have ordered arrive today.
Bluesapphire, I hope it is nothing serious and Baubles, I think I have worked out where you are going. Did both Eisenhower and JFK stay there?
Have a pleasant day folks, whatever your plans.
Oops. Sorry. I’ll continue. That should be multi coloured
Nothing like the magnificence of Keukenhof but very beautiful in its own way. So dramatic ash, wonderful to see.
Another NT today, we do like to use our membership cards
. Hope not too much walking as I’ve uncooperative legs at the moment. They feel very ‘woolly’ is the closest I can get to a description. Too nice to stay indoors for sure.
Have the best day you can everyone.
