I will read them all in a minute whilst I enjoy TIB made by Himself.
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s the start of another gorgeous sunny day here with a high of 20°C according to Alexa. My Kindle will be out this afternoon. I love sitting in the sun, reading. (I’m practicing for next week).
Before that I have an appointment at the nail salon over the road. Snipped short and I think I’ll have a French again. It always looks so stylish. Himself has a routine dental appointment.
I’ve just had a look on line at my NHS app. All bloods are normal apart from one - I’m at the very top end of pre-diabetic/low diabetes. Stress can play a part in elevating HbA1c and that’s not going to go away any time soon. However weight loss would help. I’m expecting the surgery to contact me today and I hope a conversation regarding what measures I can take to improve the situation can be had. I’d like to swerve medication if possible. 🤞
Enjoy today all who can and for those of us who are struggling, I hope your situation improves soon. x
Good morning to the Birthday Boy Mick a very Happy Birthday. 🍹🍦
Off to our wonderful local amateur dramatics company tonight, where they will serve us jacket potato, chilli, salad, nachos, followed by a chocolate brownie, then the Show, all for just £20 a ticket.
Pretty hot here still in South Bucks.
Good morning from a sunny NE.
Happy Birthday Mick, hope you have an enjoyable day.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon.
Have a good day.
Food morning all from a warmish North Leicestershire.
Many happy returns of the day, Mick and thank you for starting the GM thread.
We had a brilliant thunderstorm last night so no watering required today.
I have to do waitrose shop today and DH is off to Cheltenham Jazz Festival for a couple of days.
DGD1 had her 2 day Art GCSE a couple of weeks ago, Gingster. She loves art and is very talented but has decided that she won't do it for A level as she doesn't want to spoil her enjoyment of it.

I have everything crossed for S 🤞🤞🤞
Good morning all from a sunny Black country after overnight much needed rain.
Happy birthday Mick hope you have a good day 🎉🎂🎁.
Nice day in Stratford yesterday a pleasant trip along the river, think that's my cruising for the year not quite as exciting as some of our GNs amazing cruises. A new dress decided it wanted to come home with me, and we rounded the day off with a carvery.
Today I need to collect DHs prescription and meeting friends at the club later.
Hope your face to face appointment is more positive Marydoll and enjoy your day with DD.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️.

Good luck with your appointment Marydoll . At last a face to face with your GP. It’s like gold dust isn’t it! 😉
Pleased that your DH is more comfortable Gingster you do seem to be getting the very best care from our NHS.
Good morning all and thanks again for your good wishes.
Yes Dh is more comfortable 🥳. His catheter is off and you wouldn’t believe the relief.
Everything went well at the hospital and we were home by 1.30.
Today we have speech therapy at 9.15 and physio at 12.30.
All lovely dedicated people who can’t do enough for us. 🌟.
Gd3 has started her GCSE’s and yesterday had a 5 hour art exam and another today. She is a very talented artist but is now not sure whether to take it on to A level. Theres such a lot of work involved. I do hope she does . 🤞.
We should be at our seaside abode now and I worry about leaving it so long. Hopefully one of the boys will take us in a couple of weeks 🙏.
Happy birthday Mick. Enjoy your day. 🎈.
Take care all and enjoy this lovely weather.☀️
marydoll I hope your gp is able to help you this morning. Enjoy your afternoon tea and cocktails!
Good morning from a bright N Norfolk where we are just about to get up ready to be gone by 10 o’clock. Everything takes longer now. Lovely last meal yesterday evening at the nearest local pub.

Good morning from mid Essex. More cloud this morning but no rain. A sunny warm day is forecast.
My skip arrived yesterday, so far I’ve only put a few ancient flower pots in it, but will put more in today. My back and ankle were very painful yesterday, I don’t think they like the heat. I had a good sleep last night so feeling more positive today.
Happy Birthday * Mick,*I hope you have a good day.
grandmattie your day in London sounds very interesting, if tiring. I hope your phone saga with EE is finally sorted to your satisfaction.
Fingers crossed that gingster’s DH is more comfortable today and that he continues to make progress.
Have the best day possible everyone. Best wishes to those with medical appointments today.
Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, happy birthday Mick!
It is also DIL's fortieth birthday today.
Yesterday was exhausting, Babydoll was so defiant and strong willed. She changes from an angel to a fiend in seconds!
It didn't help that she was confined to the house and garden, due to me awaiting phone calls and a washing machine engineer.
Just before 9am, I received a phone call from a rather nippy RA specialist nurse. She was very sharp at first, until I explained everything that was going on and the lack of support, I was receiving.
The out come, an hour later I received a phone call from the consultant's secretary, offering me an emergency appointment on Thursday morning at the RA clinic.
Unfortunately, it looks like I will probably have to come off the biologics again. This is the third one, I have been on and can only tolerate them for so long.
That worked out really well, for Babydoll will be in Disney land Paris with her parents and we will have enough time to do the school run with Dollie.
The nurse said it was essential that I insisted on a face to face appointment with my GP. I explained that was nigh on impossible!!
Just as I was thinking about phoning the washing machine engineer again, he appeared in the back garden. He had been ringing the bell and banging the door, to no avail.
To my absolute mortification, behind the machine was an area of indertiminable gunk.😚
The good news is that he was able to fix the machine for the princely sum of £44! I was delighted, especially when he told me he was going away for two weeks to his house in the Islands and I wouldn't have been able to get a hold of him.
We waited all day for my GP call, with BabyD becoming more fractious, but determined not to nap.
There was nothing else for it, but to eventually take her home and hope the GP would not ring while DH was driving. Of course he did, in the most awkward place possible, which lots of traffic and speed bumps. I was so anxious about it all. My GP was very chatty until he realised I was not my usual friendly self and my tone very cold and formal.
As a result, I have a 9am face to face appointment this morning. After me informing him of the intervention of my other clinicians, I suspect he has realised that he has let me down.
Today, I am meeting DD in town. She is treating me to afternoon tea, her Mother's Day gift to me. Afterwards, we are are going for cocktails , bcause it is her birthday on Sunday. I have a notion for a strawberry Bellini in Grand Central (Station) , where we can people watch, my favourite pastime.
It has necessitated a change of plan, but I do not want to miss the GP appointment.
DH will drive me to the appointment, then instead of going home, he will, drop me at the nearest railway station and I will go to Glasgow by a circuitous route. I will probably be exhausted by the time I meet DD.
My plan of wandering in JL alone, at my own pace, may not be realised! 😉
DD hates shopping and I was hoping to wander, before I met her. 😁
Hoping that Susan and Mr Ginster's appointments yesterday were positive ones.
I wish you all a pleasant day and will, have the pleasure of reading your posts on the train. Something to look forward to. I need to leave at an ungodly hour, as we will, be right in the middle of rush hour.
I hardly ever post on the Good Morning thread but wanted to wish you a very happy birthday Mick.
Morning from the sunny south, no rain sadly.
Happy Birthday Mick 🎂🥳🍺
Yesterday was very warm, not too bad at stretch class which I welcomed after a two week break.
The garden had a good soak last night and our water butt with a very slight leak was refilled with the hose.
Tesco delivery later and pub tonight, it’ll be busy.
Enjoy your last few days on board Blue
I hope Mr Gingster is now more comfortable

A Very Happy Birthday to you Mick, long may you continue!
Good morning from Bristol.
Happy birthday 🎈 *Mick”. 1948 was a good year, was it?🙂
I’ve only just woken up! I was wiped out from the gallivanting in London yesterday. We had a lovely day, the weather was perfect, not too hot until the early evening.
The exhibition was perfect, just the right number of pictures. Even better was a little booklet giving exactly the same information as on the wall, so no one was peering at the small print, blocking the picture. Also, the guards were careful to only let visitors in if someone ha left, so we weren’t packed like sardines, unable to get to the picture.
The exhibition was from a Swiss collector from the early 1900s, all impressionists, a lot of Manet. I’m very fond of him. Very good curation. Just perfect.
We also saw the”Landscape Artist” 2025 winner’s offering. Interesting but a bit weird.
While in London, I received a text to say that everything affecting my phone has been sorted, my old number restored and all is hunky dory, hurrah 🙌
Came home late to find that all the security lights in the staircases had gone, flurry of texts, etc. it has been fixed overnight after one of the affected pulled the emergency cord. Half the estate would have been affected.
I’m not going to Spanish today as I’m just too tired from my gallivanting.
I haven’t read the posts yet, but hope you all have a lovely day, and enjoy the coming long weekend.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good morning from a sunny Torbay.
Happy birthday, Mick! 🎁🎂🎈
Our pre booked taxi from Torquay arrived promptly at Southampton yesterday morning and we were home within three hours. As my mobility and stamina levels aren’t reliable, we opted for travelling by taxi to be on the safe side. For the cruise itself, I hired a transit wheelchair from Mobility at Sea which proved very useful for getting from ship to shore tours and around Keukenhof Gardens. It was delivered and returned to the terminal at Southampton. Luckily, DH is fit enough to push, providing he wears a back brace as a precaution. He is also good at lifting luggage. (and he cooked lunch when we arrived home!)
Wishing everyone a good day, wherever you are in the world! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
