Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and sunny. A body could get used to this. Pantglas a very happy anniversary to you both. GrandMattie 💐
Yesterday was busy with humdrum things but nonetheless enjoyable. Bed stripped, cheers etc washed and hung out to dry. Aldi visited and spent more than I should have. Housework completed. An unexpected treat was the boys visiting with their mum. She dropped them off and went to Aldi, returning with lemon yumyums. Later I went to their house and babysat while dd and Dsil went out for dinner with his parents. It was a joy. Both boys were just lovely. Dgs1 got a bit teary when mum and dad left and then when I took him to bed but he was easily deflected by football chat. Dgs2 was highly delighted that I was taking him to bed. I read them both stories. Dgs1 is really keen on Fabulous Mr Fox and gets three chapters a night. What made me extra happy, was he was asking what some words meant. I like curiousity in a child. Dd messaged me this morning to say dgs2 had shouted for me when he woke up and promptly burst into tears when she said I had gone home to bed. It's lovely to be missed by this rumbustious, funny, wee scamp.
Today I'm meeting a friend for brunch in town. The roads are horrendous with various works, so I'll leave early and pick her up some flowers. I had given her a birthday present but it didn't dawn on me it was a special birthday and I should have acknowledged it better. She's a good friend. Apart from that, I'll potter about the garden, weeding and watering. Gammon salad for dinner later. Have a good day all.

Good morning from Shropshire.A dry, dull day forecast.

I feel exhausted after a busy week so am hoping for a few quiet days.

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Pantglas🥂

Wishing everyone a good day🌻🦩

Good morning Mick and all from a perishing Angus coast - a maximum 9° forecast. The winter woolies are out again!
Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Pantglas - enjoy your day of happy memories.
Sorry your mouth has flared up again Marydoll. Was your dentist not able to give you any help or advice - I know your GP has been less than helpful.
Liberty 🤣. Had they not heard - no steam without coal?!
Why do we all have such affection for steam trains. My gardener was telling me yesterday that he'll not be here next week as he's going for afternoon tea on the Hogwarts Express! DD took me on it ten years ago as a birthday treat and I loved every minute of it.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
I am back from my week's jaunt to Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight where we had a week of glorious, hot and sunny weather. Not too glad to get back to cooking my own meals and other chores though but keen to get into my garden which suddenly seems to need a lot doing in it.

Happy Ruby Wedding anniversary Pantglas!

Good morning all from a bright but chilly North Leicestershire.

Not a lot on today apart from singing at the Gardener's Market in town.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Pantglas. GM thanks

Have the best day possible everyone.

Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsPantglas enjoy your day 🥂

Good morning everyone. The sun is shinning here.

I cleaned out my bubble pond and pump yesterday before it got too warm. I’ve rearranged how it will be so it’s easier for me to clean the filter. It’s an awkward job so time will tell if I’ve done the right thing.

Have a good day all 🌼

Good morning from the East Yorkshire countryside. It’s sunny but chilly and we seem to have had rain overnight. Good job DH finished the outdoor painting yesterday.

Many congratulations to pantglas and your DH. Enjoy celebrating. Bodysgallen? If so it’s on my list. 💐

Lovely picture of you Ashcombe

Enjoy your Sundays everyone.

Good morning from a cloudy and cool midlands. Feel sad today. It would have been my dad’s birthday.
A kick up the bum and off I go!!!
Hugs to all suffering. 🤗

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, reasonably bright but only 1 degree😳. Enjoy watching your DGD play baubles but wrap up well!

Congratulations on your Ruby Wedding Anniversary Pantglas, sounds like a perfect day.

Some success yesterday, not with planned clothes sorting but some badly needed admin achieved so that’s something.

Vigil mass for me too and DD2 is coming to hang two pictures for me and then taking me back with her for lunch. I am actually quite happy using public transport but my independent nature seems to be bugging my family slightly so I have accepted graciously (?).

What a happy photo Ash!

Wishing everyone a pleasant day.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s gorgeous AGAIN! My sister tells me it was grey and windy in Estapona yesterday and this morning it’s raining there. I think Manchester/Malaga is like a see-saw weather wise. When we have sun, they don’t! Anyway we fly out on Jet2 tomorrow teatime so I hope that side of the see-saw rises!

We’re not going for Sunday lunch with my stepfather as we were all at the family gathering yesterday. We are taking him to M&S food hall at noon for supplies to keep him going while we are away. Later we are minding the grandchildren for a couple of hours while their mum and dad go out for late afternoon drinks and mezze. Unusual on a Sunday but of course they’re all at home tomorrow for BH. They plan to be home around 7pm. 😁

Good morning from the Essex coast where it is sunny/cloudy in equal measures.
A day on the boat today, getting it ready to use. Packed lunch is in the cool bag.
We had computer trouble yesterday but SIL managed to sort it for us remotely. Lovely having not one but two computer geek SIL'S.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Pantglas , have a great day celebrating.
Best wishes to all xx

Happy anniversary mr mrs pantglas.

Good morning from a sunny and showery NE.
Yesterday I did nothing but read and watch TV.
Got a letter for a hospital appointment, sadly they have arranged it for the first day of my holiday and it is many miles from where I live so going to try and change it.
SIL coming this afternoon.
Happy anniversary Pantglas.

Good Morning from Durham. Sunny, but with light rain - not enough to make a difference to the garden.
DD2 is on her way over with DGS2 and Little Dog, so I’ll have my hands full! A chicken with roasted veg in one pot will do her (and SinL if he arrives later). I expect there’ll be some laundry too.
💐*gM*.

Best wishes to all. X

Congrats to Mr&MrsPantglas today! Enjoy your hotel night away. 🎉

Taichinan, my dentist has referred me to the oralsurgeon at the dental hospital. She was quite concerned.

Good morning everyone from cloudy with sunny intervals Lancashire 😊

Happy anniversary to Mr & Mrs Pantglas, 40 years! It must be love 😊

Glad you enjoyed your break Kalu, it sounds like it has been a healing experience x

Happy Star Wars Day to all who celebrate it, it’s also my 2nd big brother’s birthday and he’s been around longer than Star Wars 😂

Yesterday was quite an eventful day here at Blossom Towers. My tri walker was delivered 3 days early, thank you to DHL for deciding it was better with me than languishing in their distribution centre all weekend! MrB put it together and I practiced walking up and down the hallway and kitchen. I took it outside for a walk under my beloved’s supervision. It wasn’t too difficult, you have to remember to use the brakes to control the speed, especially when you’re going down a slope such as a dropped kerb.

I really enjoyed it and I got to wave at a train 🚂
I’m planning on another walk this afternoon. The trains are running again today so I may be able to wave at another one!

Lots of bad backs here today, hope you are all soon on the mend. Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday 🌹♥️

madeleine45 Sun 04-May-25 10:53:16

a very late good morning Mick and all GN's on a breezy , chilly morning in North Yorkshire.

Am only just catching up with posts as have had a couple of days in bed, not feeling good at all. Didnt go out for paper or anything and my back is worse from being stuck in bed. So, no idea of anything happening over the bank holiday, and it will just be a slow plod along, catching up with jobs and listening to the radio. Rather boring , but all I feel up to.

Happy anniversary Pantglas and many more of them.
Hope you all have a good sunday

Gingster Sun 04-May-25 11:28:12

Good morning all and a happy anniversary mr and Mrs Pants

It’s our twin dgs’s 19th birthday today. I can’t believe how the two tiny chaps have grown into handsome six footers before my eyes. 👬.

DS1 has just taken me to get more plants for our pots. I treated him to some things he fancied, so we help each other out.
He’s outside now potting them up whirl Dh and I have a coffee.

Salad for lunch today. Dh won’t be happy! 😢. He’s difficult to keep on a healthy path, but I’m plodding on and ignoring pleas for cakes, chocolate and coffee. Everything in moderation!

Grandmatty 💐.

Take care all 🪴

Good Morning from a cool Co Armagh ,
I’ve been watering the veg plot with water saved when we run the tap to get hot water, I keep a bucket in a corner of the shower ad perch it on my walker to get it out to the garden , I used to be able to carry it out ! The bucket in the kitchen isn’t as far to carry
I’m out of sorts with the days , Mass on the first Sunday of the month is in an other Chapel too far for me to get there , so I had an on line Mass last night , but I keep thinking it’s not Sunday !
Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday x

Thoughts are with you, grandMattie. Treasure the happy memories.
