Good morning everyone from mid Essex, it’s sunny but cool this morning. Another warm sunny day forecast. Yesterday I walked to the post office with the intention of posting a birthday card to a friend. When I got home I realised I hadn’t actually posted the card, so I’ll try again today and hope the brain prompts me to put the card in the postbox today!
Considerable anxiety later as my sister in law had visited my godmother and said she wasn’t well, not looking after herself etc.. I spoke to my godmother later and she was her usual cheerful self, and is having another iron infusion tomorrow. She will be better after that, I remember that sis in law is a bit inclined to dramatise situations. I’ll visit godmother soon to reassure myself. But I had a bad night worrying about her.
I’ll do some gardening today and post the card!
bellasnana I’m pleased your dgs2 is home and that his operation was successful.
grandmabatty take it easy again today, don’t even think about cleaning the cupboard doors in the kitchen!
Thoughts are with the fgts today and tomorrow, and with everyone else facing difficult times.

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

Yesterday flew past but goodness knows what if anything I achieved. Some rumbles of thunder and one heavy but too brief shower in the afternoon means the garden is still too dry to do anything with.

We’re off to meet good friends today, looking forward to seeing them, We’re chalk and cheese with weather, they will say it’s far too hot while I’ll be saying it’s pleasantly warm grin.

Good to know the little one is home and recovering bellasnana. Hope grandmab has put the brakes on and is behaving. Thinking of the fgt’s and everyone facing challenges.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning, it’s a sunny start here in south Glos, the short downpours yesterday were very welcome but nowhere near enough.
Tiddler and I did a 3 mile walk first thing, very enjoyable as usual. She’s got a vet appointment this morning for a checkup but we’ll go to the dog field en route for an off lead explore. I will take a coffee with me and enjoy the change of scenery.
Then it’s home to housework and more time in the summerhouse- it need to take the vacuum cleaner down and have a dust around.
Chicken and chips for dinner I think 😋

Have a lovely day 🌹

Morning all from a very bright North Leicestershire.

Busy day round here today. Our cleaner and gardener are coming first thing, DH is off to the gym and I am helping at a Carer Learning session.

We have neighbours drinks, in the garden this evening so will be very glad that it will have had some attention.

I had a lovely afternoon with 3 other gners yesterday.

The sixth formers have finished school as such and are now doing exams. Think the rubbish is a bit of light relief.
So grateful to see Mick and Grandmattie!

Good morning from s somerset, sunny all day

We had 10 minutes of torrential rain yesterday, soon after I had watered, I was grateful for the rain

Calmly busy yesterday, lopped some bits off a tall crabapple tree, and put a support in to stop a new rowan from tilting. Replaced a switch on my 9 year old cold press slow juicer and it works like new, then did my living room, helped by roomba.

I fancied the smell of old fashioned beeswax furniture polish so walked to town and bought some, it was pricey but was a specialist blend as that is all they had left. I only did one coffee table but it looks much better and the scent is lovely

I am going to finish the conclave book today, I did see the film and enjoyed it. Pottering today, whatever turns up

Have a good day

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is looking grey and a bit misty.

Another day pottering in the house and garden not much going on here. I woke at 4 and the birds were singing. We have baby robins in our nesting box and the GC were fascinated yesterday after school watching the mum and dad in and out feeding them.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday 💐

Oi wot are these trolls doing on our lovely thread?🤬.

Good morning all from another glorious day in north Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿- apart from a few showers on Monday it hasn’t rained for weeks!

Hope all with medical procedures are on the mend, young uns and not so…💐 My friend will have her cataract op in a couple of months Grandmabatty - she’s still awaiting her knee consultation ☹️

I have deliveries arriving anytime between 7 and 10am so the ☕️ will need a refill while I listen to Mr PG 😴 - what a man eh!

Glass fusion class this afternoon and a culinary quickstep in the kitchen - broccoli and Stilton soup for lunch with chilli con carne for dinner possibly a 🍷 as my reward…😇

A good day for all 🙏

Good morning from a fine Torbay with sunshine forecast.

Thank you for the good wishes for DH’s journey yesterday. They worked as far as Paris! However, he then discovered that no trains were running to his local station due to there being someone on the line. He managed to catch a TGV to Le Mans but couldn’t get any closer to home so ended up booking into a hotel for the night. His cleaner/cat minder, for whom he has done countless favours over some years, often at personal inconvenience, normally meets him at the local station but she was “too tired” to drive to Le Mans for him. It’s a distance of about 50 km (30 miles) on good roads and she has the use of his car when he’s away.

The trolls have started several weird threads, Bellasnana. Such a pity they’ve invaded this lovely one. Pleased to hear your DGS is recovering well. Hope Grandmabatty is, too now she’s seeing more clearly and hope you can have your ears sorted out, Greyduster. Thoughts with the FGT's

Happy hump day! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather dreary, cool South Yorkshire. Sun expected again later. It was so hot yesterday that I came home from school and fell asleep on the sofa. I had a nice chat later with DH’s youngest brother as I hadn’t had much chance to catch up with him and his lovely family before we left after the funeral on Monday. Sadly there were a lot of people we didn’t have the chance to catch up with.
I must ring the surgery this morning and make an appointment to get my ears sorted out now that I’ve been putting drops in them for a week. I really am as deaf as a post at the moment. Writers group this afternoon.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from Malta where a high of 26°C is forecast.

Apparently the earthquake in Crete was felt in several localities here but I was asleep so didn’t feel a thing.

Many thanks to all of you for your kind messages yesterday for DGS2. He went in for surgery at 9am so it was an anxious time until around noon when DD3 messaged with a photo of him looking very unimpressed!

Apparently he was a star and the anaesthetist said he was the best patient he ever had.

I took DGS1 to the swings and he was happier than he had been on Monday, but still asking for his brother and mummy. He did go off to nursery happily in the afternoon and was pleased to see them home from hospital in the evening.

DD3 is staying home today but I’m going over to help out, just not quite as early as usual.

Glad to hear your op was such a success Grandmabatty but I think you should be taking it easy!

Thinking of the FGTs today and hoping something can be done to ease the uncomfortable symptoms for Himself.🙏🏻

It seems Gransnet and this thread have been invaded by trolls. Oh dear, have people nothing better to do with their time?

Hope you all have the best day possible. ☀️

Good morning from a bright Bristol. We had a little rain yesterday, not half enough but refreshing.
Quiet day yesterday, only a quick (by bus!) visit to town for some fabric. Short PCC meeting in the evening.
FAB Cafe this morning as usual, book group and WI quiz in the afternoon/evening.
🍀 to FGT2s today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
