Roman and Martin’s Laugh In is on Disney+. I’m on Season 2 now. It’s definitely of it’s time, but some of it is still really funny. It’s surprising how many big stars were on it.

I loved Bilko, the Mary Tyler Moore show and the spinoffs which I am trying to remember. I will come back when I have googled them.

I cancelled my Sky subscription,, so I don’t get it anymore. You may find some old episodes on YouTube

The Andy Williams show, only because of the cookie bear who came looking for food every week. He wore different disguises hoping to fool Andy into feeding him cookies. Also, Juke Box Jury and Thank Your Lucky Stars.

Every single good comedy show that you could have a good old belly laugh has now been cancelled and there’s never a really good show to watch anymore on a Saturday night that doesn’t involve wannabe’s ! The TV is so depressing nowadays and sick to death of the stupid warnings after every program!

Channel 4 friday night comedies I used to love...WKRP in Cincinati, Ellen, Two Girls a Guy and a Pizza Place. Friends, Frazier, Surgical Spirit.

Also Dalgliesh(the original), Bouquet of Barbed Wire, The Thorn Birds, Morse, The Sweeney, Within These Walls with Googie Withers.

Some great series long ago, but there are some cracking ones around now.

I miss Bonanza, The Virginian and High Chaparral. My dad was a big western fan and it rubbed off on me I guess.

I miss Holby City too, but my husband hated it so I had to watch it when he wasn't there. We enjoyed Morse and Lewis, more than the earlier Inspector Morse series.

Well back in the 50's there was The Lone Ranger and Lassie, then in the 60's a favourite was Dixon of Dock Green, Z Cars and Dr Finlays Casebook. Oh and Dr Kildare... Many great drama adaptations on BBC such as the Dickens books, Sunday night was a regular slot for good drama.

crazyH Tue 20-May-25 15:23:50

I miss Jeremy Beadle and Game for a Laugh

League of Gentlemen. Not everyone's cup of tea!

I loved The League of Gentlemen. Fond memories of Tubbs and Papa Lazarou among others.

I watched all the episodes of Inside No 9 too. Very sad that the final No 9 has been aired.
