I can’t remember the last time I was down on my knees Grandmabatty, glad you managed though.
A quiet day, cooler and windy, my daughter and children joined us for the meat draw, no lucky tickets, earlier I had a brisk walk, noseying in peoples gardens!

Welcome! Please make yourselves comfortable. I thank you all for your patience and support throughout the times that we've shared.
Ladyleftfieldlover 💐 and a hug for you.
I am shocked at how unfit I am. I went on my knees to switch off the freezer and could not get back up again! My legs would not cooperate. I thought I was going to have to crawl through to the living room. It's a warning to do something about it. YouTube knee exercises I think.
The boys and dd were here for a while. I had hoovered but I'm going to have to do it again 😂. Chicken and leek pie for dinner. And some squats in between
(((Hugs))) llfl hope today is better for you 🌸
🌞 and 💐 for llfl I hope you feel a bit lighter soon.
Sorry to hear you’re feeling down llfl May you feel a little lighter today 🌹
utbb I hope you managed some sleep eventually.
llfl I hope today will be better for you.
I cannot sleep, I am overstimulated after being with my friend and not getting in until 10pm which is late for me.
I hope tomorrow is a better date LLFL, maybe your D will lift your spirits.
I shall post some photos of the back garden which is a work in progress at the moment.
My H would be very pleased to see it being sorted. He also was a keen gardener.
I have no interest in gardening at all, just like to see it tidy.
I shall now try to sleep and I hope you are all sleeping well.
Hope the morning will seem better ladylfl and being here quietly has helped.
I’d love that recipe granmarie, Mr C however would turn pale and rum from the room. I may make a small portion just for me. I’m pleased you’ve had support.
Forsythia is shorn, I did enjoy the process which was heloed along by our neighbour pushing the branches I struggled to reach towards me with a rake. Sounds odd but it worked. Mr C did the picking up, the equivalent of the floor being swept in the hairdresser.
Golden Oldie is planted. I’d not be surprised if it was that rose granmarie as it came from the occasional section. We decided we are both golden oldies and were allowed
especially as we are several years past our golden wedding.
I’m tired but not sleepy if you know what I mean. I’ll read for a while I think. The night will pass
Hope you’re all sleeping soundly.
LLFL I hope you are feeling a bit better now. We don’t like to think of low Kitcheners. 🥰
Hello kitchen people.
I’m feeling a bit low so I’ll sit in the quiet corner if that’s ok.
Granmarie 🌷 you have always been very supportive to us it's out turn to return the support lovely to hear from you.
I am relaxing tonight have all family tomorrow for oh birthday . You all sound very busy with gardens and holidays .Sending (((hugs)) to all needing them.Fgt thinking of you and himself.
I’m pleased your daughter is settling brook it’s been a long haul, both in reality and emotionally, you’ve had her back all the way, it’s what we do.
It does sound a lot too Jax well done !
Goodness grandmabatty you’ve been so busy today, I hope you can have a rest this evening
We’ve been out most of the day, DD2 messaged this morning asking if we could help with a few jobs so we’ve been there most of the day. She’s still settling into her new house, everything is fine and looks lovely but it’s all the extra hidden jobs with a new build such curtain poles, blinds, light fittings, shelves etc that she’s still sorting out and needs a hand with. Anyhow it was good to help out, DGS was with his dad but we got to see DGD too
Hoping all is well with Soop and family
Thinking of everyone in the quiet corner, hope everyone is doing ok and take care all x
Hi all, Grannmarie the walk and company of loved ones is doing you well, enjoy your evening 🌹
Beautiful utbb clever chap, don’t fret about your tomatoes, mine were like that, now looking fine.
I don’t like to mention my day within sight of the whirlwind Grandmabatty..but I will 😏 read the paper, transplanted more sunflowers, some lettuce and sowed more beetroot. Rang a friend for a good long chat, dithered about dinner, too warm here to cook, it’s very humid, so bought a pie. I am cooking veg to go with it and we’ve watered the garden it was nearly 24 here today, hazy and humid, so I’ve opened every window upstairs.
That sounds a lot doesn’t it!
You’ve a beautiful garden uttb and all the containers look so pretty under the window 🌺🌸🌼🌷
grannmarie so good that you got out for a walk with your sisters, enjoy your evening together too x 🥰
My goodness, Grandmabatty, I'm exhausted just reading that! You are a busy bee indeed, take care! I've been using my grabber mijig to load/ unload the washing machine, and to pull up some weeds on the patio... I do clean it in between jobs!🤣
Grannmarie that sounds simple enough for me to make and yummy! Enjoy x
UTBB your garden looks lovely. Sadly mine is a bit shaggy because of the no bending rule for a week or so yet.
I have got my motivation back. Stripped the bed, changed the duvet cover, did washings, emptied and loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the bathroom thoroughly, polished throughout, ironed and washed all the windows and glassware. And did an Aldi shop too. Steak casserole with dumplings and mash for dinner later. Have a good evening Kitcheners
Thank you, lovely ladies, you are very kind.
Beautiful garden, UTBB, your son has done well.
Cornergran, I think that's the rose I bought for DH's sister recently, for their Golden Wedding.
Blossoming, you're doing really well, you keep yourself active every day.
FGT, I did enjoy our walk, we managed to avoid a heavy shower, and the midges!
Thinking of you all, and your loved ones. Have the best weekend possible.
My sisters and I are having a ' Movie and munchies' night, I'm off to make the salmon dip.
1 pack of smoked salmon trimmings
1 tub of cottage cheese
Lazy garlic and lemon juice according to taste
Blitz it all and serve with a variety of breadsticks and savoury crackers. Enjoy!
Your garden looks really colourful utbb. My tomato plants are very spindly, I’ll repot them tomorrow. DD2 called in this afternoon and cut back some brambles coming in from my neighbour’s garden and cut the dead branches off the philadelphus, which is very old and straggly now.
cornergran you’ve reminded me that my forsythia also needs a haircut, so I’ll add that to the to-do list.
yiayia a disappointment for your DH, especially coming immediately after a good holiday!
grannmarie thinking of you and your family,
Have a peaceful evening everyone.
Enjoy a soothing walk in nature with your sisters Grannmarie. You’ve suffered a sudden, tragic loss and you are grieving. We care. x
Granmarie
I’m struggling with fatigue today. It’s very warm and a bit muggy here which probably isn’t helping. MrB has done the laundry, now gone for a motorbike ride. I have done a little bathroom cleaning as I like to keep on top of it and am now tidying the clean bedding and towels away, tidying the cupboard as I go. MrB does his best, but has no concept of ‘folding’
He’s definitely doing a good job *uttb/. A garden is never finished and can be very therapeutic, yours is looking lovely. I’m pleased your son feels well enough to do it.
I’m off outside to finish giving the forsythia a hair cut. Need to get Me C to help plant the new rose in its tub, still no idea where it will go but I’m sure the space will appear. The name made me smile, it’s called Golden Oldie and is a very deep yellow.
