Good morning from the Algarve where a 24 degree sunny day is forecast. DD2 and the little ones arrived late evening after delays and horrendous queues through passport control in Faro! All is quiet at the moment so hoping they will be having a good sleep in. .

Today will be spent relaxing with the family and a Portuguese buffet evening is planned in the in the restaurant tonight.

Thinking particularly of those feeling sad & struggling but don’t want to name in case I miss someone out 💐

Hoping today will be a good one for all.

Good morning. We had rain overnight here in N. Bucks . Seems to be brightening now .
DH will pick up his mum this morning whilst I organise what has to be packed into the car. I know she will have a case twice the size of the ones we take but we can’t persuade her to use a smaller one ! We’ll have a quick lunch and then we are off to Shropshire with the rest of the family for the week.

Wishes GN all a good day and especially thinking of those who are poorly or have other worries and problems.

Good morning all. Back to grey, wet weather this morning in Glasgow. I am repeating the mantra, it good for the garden…..

All pots now filled, the last lot are mainly red geraniums in one lot and mixed petunia in others. Even going at my own pace, I was sore all over but surprisingly, feel fine this morning after a good sleep. An at home day ahead, foutering about indoors where my priority is to phone BT to sort out this email problem. I cannot receive or send now. Grrr!

Hope you were successful in your hunt for geraniums baubles
You are doing well, getting out and about more Ash
Susan It’s heartbreaking when seeing our darling mother’s decline into someone we no longer recognise. I am so sorry to read of your own experience. 💐

Have the best day possible all hoping life is kinder to those with difficult times.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and breezy. There has been a lot of rain overnight which we badly needed. Susan 💐 that sounds awful for your mum. I hope she isn't in pain. Bellasnana 💐.
Yesterday DD popped in with fudge doughnuts in the morning. Then a friend arrived in the afternoon for coffee and cake. After she had gone, dd popped in again with the boys and a greenhouse I bought two years ago! Currently it's in the summer house waiting for Dsil to construct it. He came across it in their garage which he decided to clear out. The boys were quite grumpy. It's unusual for dgs1 to be grumpy but he had been on his school trip to a zoo and had spent all day running about. He also hadn't eaten much of his packed lunch so was hangry. Just after they left, there was a knock at the door. It was a delivery of a lovely bouquet of flowers from the school where I'm volunteering! I was really touched.
Today I have a friend coming for breakfast. She's the friend I normally meet on a Saturday at the garden centre and then take home. However I'm not driving yet so she's being dropped off at my house. She is determined she only needs a bit of toast and jam. Not a chance! I have pancakes, bacon, eggs, avocado, crusty bread to make a variety of dishes. She doesn't enjoy cooking but I do. Then we'll blether until her daughter picks her up. After that, I'll do the dishes and potter. Quiche and salad for dinner tonight. Have a good day all

Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where we have had some rain at last and more to come if the forecast is correct. DD and I had a very nice afternoon out yesterday at the museum and the botanical gardens. A lot of walking but she was right, I was good for it, and I’m sure it was good for me. I love the botanical gardens. There’s always something new to see and the rose garden is an absolute joy. They redesigned it a few years ago and now the climbers have really come into their own to enclose the whole. Wonderful scents and colours.
Today, food shopping, a general tidy up and a quiet day.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from Malta where it is going to be 29°C today.🥵

It is ten years since my beloved DH died after a year of battling cancer. I miss him every day so this is just another day without him but I do feel sad. I wish he could have seen the boys.💔

Had a good day with them yesterday and took them to nursery where they both went off happily. They are pretty good on the whole although they do have the odd day when they go a bit wild!😂

I haven’t planned my day but think I will take some flowers to DH at the cemetery.

Wishing a good day to you all.☀️

Good morning, very welcome rain gently falling here on the hillside in south Glos.
I had a lovely art group catchup yesterday morning, such a friendly group of people, although I didn’t get much painting done!
An afternoon in the summerhouse crocheting was perfect. I also potted up some plants that had been delivered and dead headed the roses etc. my garden is looking good at the moment and I get endless pleasure from being able to potter around outside.
Housework today after dog walking, I also have a pile of ironing to tackle.
Have a lovely weekend 🌹

Good morning from an overcast and breezy Torbay.

I love visiting Belfast, harrigran, partly because my late father was from Holywood, but also because the people are so warm and welcoming so I’m sure your DS and family will have a wonderful time.

Yesterday, I enjoyed my first solo bus trip into Torquay for several months, with the only disappointment being that Waterstone's café was closed. Nevertheless, I visited a few shops and had coffee in Costa, where a kind young barista, having observed my use of a walking stick, brought my coffee to the table.

This afternoon, I’ve volunteered to administer prebooked tickets at our theatre for the matinée. This doesn’t require me to stay for the performance which I saw on Monday.

Happy Bank Holiday weekend! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Morning Mick, morning All from a damp, windy corner of Somerset.

Enjoyed volunteering yesterday, the morning flew past. The afternoon in the garden was a joy if hard work at times. Later there were two unsettling phone calls from and about a very unwell friend, they could well be the cause of a disturbed night. What I learned about the gulf between two generations has worried me at a deep level.

A decent day ahead. Some practicalities will fill the morning. A table is booked for lunch at a favourite place before searching out some last bits for the garden.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.A dry day forecast after over night rain.

Yesterdays visit to see my mum was very upsetting.I honestly had to double check it was her when we arrived. She has had some sort of physical event and looks very different in her face and body. She was very happy to see us and was lucid in the moment. There is nothing medical that can be done for her.Looking back at pictures I was sent from the event at the home over Easter it is difficult to recognise her as the same person💔

The children stayed overnight.H has a party this morning and swimming this afternoon so plenty to keep us busy.

My thoughts are with the FGT’s, Marydoll and all with mountains to climb.I hope we hear from madeleine soon.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩

Good morning from a very grey Bristol. Despite the dark clouds and wind, we’ve had no rain.
My lunch yesterday was curate’s egg-ish. Very pleasant but my neighbour’s friend was inevitably there. I’m not that keen on her as she uses my neighbour shamelessly and that infuriates me.
I was very tired as my normal lift from Spanish was away. I walked both ways the return up a very steep hill.
After church coffee this morning, I’m rushing to the Arnolfini gallery to meet my cousin and for an exhibition. I have no idea what it’s about.
I trust that all will go well with you this (inevitably wet) long weekend.

Good morning Mick and all to follow. Been awake since 3.45, a lot of noise in the street.
It has rained overnight and the garden looks a bit fresher.
DS sent a message at 4am, the family are travelling to Belfast today for a week's holiday.
Lunch out with friend was pleasant, we had a lovely meal and a bottle of Champagne. When I got home I changed into comfy clothes and fell asleep on the sofa.
Enjoying a big mug of tea at present.
Have a good Bank Holiday weekend.
