Labour blocks proposal for swift bricks in new homes

Nothing to stop builders from adding one of those bricks voluntarily. Might make an added selling point.

I've read a couple of articles on it and can't see the problem with incorporating just one brick in homes built with bricks.

The arguments against it seem to be that if we agree to bricks, then it opens the door to other regulations as regards wildlife that would put low cost housebuilding out of reach for many.

I suppose that makes sense.

I love these little birds but sadly their population is declining so swift bricks in all new houses would be a positive step in the right direction.
