Have to admit to feeling rather sorry for myself-another day when I have strange flu-like symptoms ,
which prevent me from doing anything or going out and then I read about Emma Bray.
This beautiful brave mother of two has advanced motor neurone disease and plans to starve herself to death in a hospice this summer rather than let her children see a worst death .
My heart goes out to her .
May her end come as quickly as possible .

That is so sad. Starving oneself won’t be quick and it’s a not an easy way to go. I hadn’t heard of Emma, but I wish her and all the many others who suffer, peace.

Great sympathy for Emma Bray.
My Uncle died of Motor Neurone disease over fifty years ago, and nothing seems to have improved.

Dear friend of the family choked to death from this awful Motor Neurones disease. The ambulance service tried to give him CPR, whilst his wife looked on screaming to let him go 😩
I think they should allow people the choice to die, if that is what they want.

MND is a cruel disease, my dd had a good friend, only 31 who died a terrible death.

MT61. This is the reason my husband has a Do Not Resuscitate form which the GP instigated for him. We have the form at home. He has severe emphysema and an aortic aneurysm and does not want any form of resuscitation. Horrible situation for your friend, but the paramedics were doing tbeir job and without that form they had no other choice. They cannot make the decision.

Motor Neurone is such a terrible disease. Emma Brays case is a prime exampke of the need for assisted dying.
