I’m not surprised the way things are going. You’ll probably soon be able to marry your dog.

I think you already can Skydancer. I’m sure I saw a lady do it on tv years ago.

Yes, was there not a girl who did that on one of Simon Cowell's talent shows? I didn't watch it, but I vaguely remember reading about it afterwards.

Ashleigh and Pudsey in 2012. They have people dancing with dogs to music at Crufts too.

In Japan, young girls are marrying themselves!

I must be weird then because I used to dance with my dog in the kitchen while waiting for dinner to cook.

ExDancer Mon 02-Jun-25 14:57:33

You can dance with your cat too (well you can if she feels like it!). Mostly mine isn't 'In the mood'.

She danced yes but did not marry her dog, which I think was the statement that you could

Does the dog take the lead?

Churchview Tue 03-Jun-25 08:54:39

When we danced in our kitchen (as you do) our dog would go bananas joining in. She'd also sing along with every 'Happy birthday to you' always with a joyous howl at the end (her not us).

My goodness she was a character who brought us happiness and laughs every day.

It’s great brain training for a dog if you have the time and patience. Working dogs who don’t work who need extra stimulation love it. Lots of the moves are what agility dogs would be working on but not all owner can do the energetic stuff you need to do with agility so dancing is a great compromise.
