My bil in Thailand was hospitalised with it.

The thing is, we don't have to test and isolate now so who knows who has it.

Your neighbours could, Claremont without you, or even they, knowing.

No, it’s all over Europe too Claremont, and the rest of the world - here’s the WHO dataset.

My son had it two weeks ago, and he was rough for a couple of days, with a very painful throat and a nasty cough. He was off work, in bed for three days. I escaped it this time thankfully.

wow, sorry to hear Kitty. Is this only a UK thing as I don't know of anyone at all who has Covid at the moment.

i had a few out dated test kits so asked the pharmacist if they would still be okay. He said not really as they are likely to give a false negative reading.

Hope you are feeling better now Kitty. We had it last year and felt very rough.

kittylester Wed 18-Jun-25 06:38:10

Should say that I haven't actually tested but DH did and my symptoms matched his.

kittylester Wed 18-Jun-25 06:34:10

Lots of my family have had it lately. Dh and I are still recovering after over a week.

I felt sick but wasn't actually - thankfully. I hope to regain some stamina soon.

I tried to use a (just) out of date one but it had dried up.

The new ones front chemists or supermarkets are cheap and easier.

Never had Covid (at least not whilst I had to do repeated tests as working in education) I’ve had some infections post Covid but wouldn’t test now. We have to live with it and Id stay home if unwell.

I’m never wearing a mask again . I hope you soon feel better

I don't have any tests anymore but have been unwell recently and did wonder if it could be Covid?

The symptoms are feeling very tired, reduced appetite, a persistent night cough (although to be fair I think this is reflux) and tummy and headache though I have not been sick at all and have no temperature.

I remain the only person I know that has never had a positive Covid test so not sure if it is worth doing one now...

Could someone explain how those test kits actually work? Especially when so many 'variants' have come along. I have a collection of kits now that are date up and wonder if they need to be dumped?

I tested this morning after a rough night coughing and very hot.

chocolatepeanuts Mon 16-Jun-25 22:59:53

Just been through this. I hope you feel better soon.
