Happy birthday Sar
Great to see all the lovely craft work and sewing.
What medical conditions seem more common now than when you were growing up?
Any Rain Anywhere, Or Are We In A 1976 Timewarp?
Good Morning Everyone ,
Its bright and sunny with a clear sky here at brackley at the moment.
Slept better last night wore disposable pants as a caution , the heat is effecting my health so will take it easy today .
Health OK otherwise ,
Take Care,
Mick
Happy birthday Sar
Great to see all the lovely craft work and sewing.
Good morning from a sunny snd warm midlands. It’s the longest day.
We had a “day” out yesterday.
Car broke down and had to call the AA out. Waited three hours in that baking sun. Glad to get home last night. Staying in today.
Hugs to all suffering.
Xx
Happy birthday to you Sar. Have a lovely day. Llfl I tried felting once. It wasn't a success as I kept jabbing my fingers!
Marydoll
You are such a strong woman. Black dog days and estrangement sometimes make me wonder what it’s all about. Then I spend time with my fabulous youngest son and my strength is regained. Hugs. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Morning Mick, morning All from a hot, humid corner of Somerset.
Another indoor day for me. I’ll remove some dust and then do not a lot other than arrange some salad on plates.
Have the best day you can everyone
Happy birthday sar 🎂🎈
A very Happy Birthday Sar enjoy today and your meal out this evening 💐🥂🎂
Happy Birthday to you Sar 🥂🎂🥳 have a lovely day.
Morning all from a hot North Leicestershire.
Not a lot happening here today thankfully. But DGS3 finished his A levels yesterday, had his prom and is now off to Spain for a week with his mates.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Started with a mist which is supposed to clear.
The girl who's on the rota for Saturday café has just texted an excuse but unusually I can't step in as I'm meeting my friend from the North at a midsummer fair and then have theatre tickets for a matinée.
I hope the other backups are less flaky.
Yesterday my nice young man and I took 10 crates of books to Peebles for the Autumn book fair. I think they are rapidly running out of storage.
Then it was time for an icecream. I was feeling faint in the heat. It was 29° - a rarity here.
I am so sorry to hear you are sick and can't enjoy your lovely family at the moment Marydoll
Let someone else see to the pc! You just concentrate on getting well.
Happy Solstice birthday Sar what a nice time to have a birthday.
Hopefully that train debacle will sound funny in retrospect Ash. I hope you complain vigorously!
Have a happy day today.
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.
Yesterday was very hot here. We went out earlier for our daily walk to avoid the heat. We will do the same today, though it is already feeling very hot. I will read the thread later.
Virtual hugs to all of our Covid warriors.
As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort and relief.
Have the best day you can 🌹
Marydoll
Good morning all from a hot and sunny south coast. I’m dashing around so haven’t had time to read any posts yet. DGDs are picking me up any minute to go to a plant sale in aid of our local hospice. I do NOT need any more plants but…..
This afternoon I’m going to watch a friend who plays in the U3a ukulele group. It’s in an assisted care complex and they struggle to sell tickets. Not really my cup of tea but I thought I’d give them some support.
Hope everyone has a good day and you manage to keep cool.
Good morning from a sunny and hot Essex.
I am off to lunch to a popular seaside town (mouth of the estuary really) with three girlfriends today for an ‘0’ birthday, lots of champagne and laughter are definitely on the menu.
Happy birthday Sar53 🎂🥂🥳😘
MaryDoll good to see you posting, sorry you are still so poorly, you really do not need computer problems 🤬
Good you are getting back to your seaside home Gingster have a wonderful week.
Enjoy this glorious weather 🌞
I’m sorry to read you are still feeling so unwell, Marydoll
Hope there is some improvement soon.
Take care.
The field at the end of the garden has turned beige as the lack of rain becomes obvious but the garden seems to be surviving quite well, but this brief heatwave won’t last much longer, for which I am glad. I have an empty day which is as well because I am content to vegetate.
Healing vibes for Marydoll and all those enduring ill health and frustrations, hoping today is better than yesterday.
Good morning from sunny Berkshire where I am staying with DD. Good journey down by train yesterday and a nice Italian meal last night in a place full of character, unlike the many minimalist restaurants we see these days, it had all the Italian paraphernalia, red checked tablecloths, lemon ‘trees’ etc.
Hardly slept night, although tired. Often have that first night awsy from home, even though DD makes everything v comfortable 🙄.
Sister comes over from London this afternoon and we will have a meal out together tonight.
Happy birthday Sar, enjoy yourself Gingster and thoughts to all.
Happy birthday Sar.
Enjoy your day in the beautiful weather 🎁🎈🎊
Good Morning everyone from my hot sunny garden on the east coast. Watching the birds and especially the Woodpecker on the feeders is really lifting my spirits.
MaryDoll I am so sorry you are having a hard time at the moment. You are such a positive popular lady and my thoughts are with you.
This afternoon we are having drinks and a meal in our local town which will probably extend into early evening. I’m going to wear a lovely dress I bought in Spain recently perfect for this weather. A few glasses of red and I’ll be especially happy lol.
From tomorrow it’s going to get a little cooler much more like the summers we are used too. Really need the rain on the garden though. We are having to use the hose until they slap us with a hosepipe ban we they are threatening too.
Thoughts to those who struggle in the heat and who are finding life a challenge at the moment. 💐🌞
A late Good Morning from a very warm, but overcast Durham. Misplaced my phone charger last night - really should get a spare!
A gentle weekend with DD2’s Little Dog - I’ll potter in the garden and get a bit of food shopping later. DD1 says they’re going to tackle The Hoppings tomorrow afternoon, but I probably can’t make it as I’m picking up DD2 and her entourage from Newcastle airport - it’s complicated.
🎂Sar
💐Marydoll thinking of you.
Best wishes to all. X
Wishing you a Happy Birthday Sar 🎂🎉🥂
Happy birthday, Sar 🎂!
Happy birthday Sar.
Good morning all. I don't usually post these days as really I haven't very much of interest to say. We don't 'do' heatwaves on the Angus coast but it is pleasantly warm even here!
I'm now in the last day of my holiday on Rhodes - without having left home! Isn't WhatsApp wonderful! DD and NewMan, with all five young people (now 17-21) have been there this past week keeping me well supplied with pictures and videos. I've enjoyed every minute and in particular the day in a chartered yacht lazily sailing from bay to bay, swimming, diving and paddle boarding.
Some of you may remember that my DGS1 was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukaemia just before Christmas? Well, treatment has been successful and there is not a trace of any odd it remaining, he is now officially in remission and is on a phased return to work! Medical science and the NHS at their best 🙏
I've just received a WhatsApp message from my cousin saying she's just off out to the hairdresser's ...... That's when I realised that this is Saturday and not Sunday 😁😉. So I shouldn't be here leisurely reclining in my pretty summer jimjams and matching robe and sipping orange juice
and mentally enjoying my last day in Rhodes - I'll have to do it all over again tomorrow, lucky me - so I'd better get a move on and do a bit of Saturdaying.
Marydoll I do hope you start to feel a bit better soon.
Keep on enjoying summer everyone, in whatever way suits you best x
Happy Birthday sar
