I would like to say thank you to the poster that many months ago recommended Scoville bakeware.

I have just made the River Cafe orange and plum cake, the plum syrup leaked on to the baking tray and solidified 😱.
It came straight off no scrubbing🎉🎉🎉.

Who would you like to thank and why?

I would like to thank quite a few GNs but I can't remember their names.

The advice about avoiding leg ulcers by washing your legs carefully and always moisturising after washing. The person who recommended Anglo Doorstep Collections to collect unwanted goods. The Macaroni Cheese recipe.

I would also like to thank the many GNs whose posts have made me laugh whether by posting cartoons, jokes or simply witty remarks and responses.

There are more but that is enough for now.

I use scoville bakeware, and pans .... durable, attractive , easy to clean ....and usually on offer at Asda!

I would like to thank our lovely next door neighbours who always bring us Asian sweets at Eid and have just been round with two freshly cooked curries and rice for us.

I would like to thank my GP who has been so supportive and caring. I’ve been dealing with a great deal health wise over the years however the last 12 months have been very very difficult. Nothing is a bother to him.

I would like to thank my estate agents sales progresser who gave me good news about my house sale today.

Ooops! Sorry, I misread the OP and thought it was about thanking other GNs. I'll get my coat.

It was but that doesn’t matter!

Magenta I thought the same and I will thank Germanshepardsmum for quite a lot of advice that she gave to quite a few of us.
I’m sorry she left.

Mollygo Fri 27-Jun-25 21:08:54

I’d also thank Germanshepherdsmum for advice, FannyCornforth for friendship and help when I first joined GN.
Outside GN, my most recent thanks would go to the firm who acknowledged my parking fine was unfair and refunded the fine.

I’d like to thank you ALL. Often I don’t agree with your comments, but we always seem to manage to debate and rage without getting personal or insulting.

Have a lovely evening and please stay hydrated!

This forum has been a lifeline for me. Thanks to everyone for advice, making me feel my problems are insignificant, fun, occasional spat. Also for the pms in times of struggle, particularly from one person. She knows who she is.

Kate1949 Sat 28-Jun-25 00:12:36

Sorry that should read NOT insignificant.

No particular person to thank, just all those who make people on here feel valued.
I have got a wonderful family and friends, thankfully, (only a few now as I get older), but there is a special delight in being a ‘friend’ on here. It’s a secret place where I would be happy to post a worry or concern that I might not want a physical friend to know.
Thank you everybody 💐

Thank you GNetters for the posts- some thought provoking, some amusing, some helpful, some exasperating ,but always interesting.

luluaugust Sat 28-Jun-25 07:51:47

I would like to thank Mick for starting his Good Morning thread every morning. He rarely, if ever, fails us, and it’s like opening your door in the morning and finding a whole lot of friends waiting on the doorstep to tell you about their day. I couldn’t start my day without it.

Calendargirl Sat 28-Jun-25 08:29:01

I would also mention the Books thread.

Many of the books I have ordered from the library and enjoyed have been recommendations from others.

Introduced me to authors I had never heard of, but look out for now.

Yes, thank you to those who give good pet advice. I've been a dog owner for 45 years, but there's always something helpful to consider.
And thank you to those who keep my eyes open on various shopping trips for recommended products.
Oh, and film and tv reviews on here. Plus food tips.
