Is this another new scam?

The WFA will be paid to all pensioners, as it was before. Then the Government will claw it back from those whose income is over 35K. No need at all to apply for it

DH got that earlier today. He was very suspicious. We both looked at it again and concluded that it was a scam - not least because it was a group message and relatively few people have his mobile number anyway.

Yes - the scammers kicked it off as soon as changes were made to the WFPs.
Just delete.

Yes this one is going around. They send a link and get your banking details so you can apply.
You don't have to apply the DWP sends the WFA if you are eligible.
