Good morning from an overcast and close feeling Torbay.

Yesterday, our church Fayre was fairly well attended and there was a good community atmosphere. DH joined us and enjoyed catching up with church people whom he knows. Last weekend when we were away, a street party took place involving the local shops. One lady told us that the burgers there were twice the price of ours (we charged £3.00) and were undercooked! No complaints about ours, nor about the hot dogs, I’m glad to say!

Early service for me this morning then nothing planned.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and sunny. At last we after what seems interminable rainy starts. Mizuna that's some beast of a plant! GrandMattie a very tiresome journey. Enjoy your sight seeing.
Yesterday was my usual Saturday - shopping, washings and housework. I made fajitas for dinner and will have more tonight.
Today I'm waiting for a delivery. I ordered a new kindle for my holiday and I look forward to stocking it. The dishwasher was running and I've had a coffee. I'll have a second one shortly. Dd is bringing the boys round later for a picnic lunch. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. Then I'll have an early night because I'm back to usual childcare routine tomorrow. The Imp woke up at 5.30am, he has been playing with the dolls house in the playroom, now he is downstairs watching cartoons with a drink and a few biscuits.

Nothing planned for today, he is being picked up between 11 and 12, I think it will be a day in the garden.

Good morning from my hillside in south Glos, pale blue skies here.
I’m looking forward to another quiet day, I’m perfectly happy pottering around. Ironing to do then that’s it!
Yesterday I made a big bowl of tabbouleh, my favourite salad, which we’ll have with cold chicken and new potatoes for dinner .
Yesterday evening DH decided to drive across to the other side of the valley to watch the Red Arrows go over on their way from Lincolnshire to Christchurch in Hampshire, he reckoned he’d get a good view. Unfortunately all the information I gave him seemed to indicate that the route was further north from us, not south, so he was disappointed.
I want to start a watercolour painting later, so I need to do some prep work and a rough sketch first. In includes negative painting so I will need to concentrate!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from an already very warm South Yorkshire. I slept the night through and feel quite refreshed for a change. I went to the art show at Renishaw Hall yesterday and was pleased to be able to talk to the artist whose pictures I am so enamoured of at the moment. Up close, his collage landscapes are so much more nuanced than in photographs. He had some limited edition prints for sale but they weren’t the ones I wanted so I’ll treat myself and order a couple off his website. Would that I could afford an original. I spent the afternoon making a curry for today.
DS and DiL have brought their motorhome to a village in the Peak District for the weekend not far from here so I will drive over and spent a couple of hours with them while it’s cool, before sorting out lunch for DD and the menfolk.

Good morning Mick and Mizuna from a drizzly north Wales- I have marjoram just started in my herb garden and I didn’t realise it’s a milder form of oregano 🤷‍♀️

I’m with you on making the tea loaf today BlueSapphire- treated myself to a new cake tin…so it must be filled😋 That’s after we’ve trotted to Penrhyn Castle with the last of our free NT vouchers! Haven’t visited since we dragged youngsters round decades ago and I distinctly recall how appreciative they were too 😂

I`ll be having breakfast soon and then get myself out on a nice cycle ride before it gets too hot. The greenery changes all the time and there is always something different to see. I like the quiet roads on an early sunday morning

Good morning from an overcast Vilnius.
Yesterday was exhausting as , when we landed in Kaunas, we walked 1/2 km to a bus stop which took us to the centre of Kaunas. then got a coach for the 2 hour journey into Vilniaus. A bite to eat at a “bistro” . A third bus to our apartment! Buses cost €1 for journeys of less than 1 hour, and increases according to journey lengths. Coaches are more expensive, €8 for the two hour journey.
The apartment wasn’t what DS had booked and although I didn’t mind, he did. It was sorted out, and he had a separate little place opposite at no extra cost…
Dinner was at a local restaurant with delicious local food.
We were both very tired and soon went our separate ways. I fell into bed and slept over 8 hours!
Today we explore Vilnius.

Good morning from another drizzly Cornish day, phew. Ooh, I do love this weather. Yesterday I spent the afternoon at a Summer Fete in the village where my youngest grandchildren have the loveliest traditional life. Masses of people and two huge tugs of war: boys v girls/men v women, and the females won both! Caught up with my daughter-in-law and we co-ordinated our diaries with school holidays and my grandparenting duties in mind. 😁

The pic is of the rogue echium creating a very prickly barrier to my greenhouse. Most of the foreground plants are oregano which, along with marjoram, grows like a very aromatic weed on my allotment. I've noticed that a robin is spending a lot of time in and out of my greenhouse (I leave the door open) - I must investigate why.

Today I'll venture out somewhere but have no idea where yet; Porthleven or Penzance I expect. Church first, at the University.
