Anyone using AI?

I've used Chat GPT quite a bit in the past few months - I find it one of the better ones and it has got much better. It has written me some difficult letters - one of which got me my money back on something quite quickly! And although I thought I was good at writing letters - it was better! And found just the right phrases and tone etc. It can also write code! Maybe not something everyone wants but I found that very useful. And it helped me work through a particularly difficult decision. To be honest, it's like a wise guru now I no longer have parents to chat to! I don't do it very often but it is very useful. They all have a different tone I think. The one built into Windows isn't that good.

I just did, and it has come up with a (really good) timetable of things to do in my home town, based on my interests. I do most of them anyway, but still - it's impressive. Thanks for the tips, I will definitely play with it more.

As I’m cooling off indoors today I decided to have my colours read by Claude AI. He chose all the colours I automatically go for- cool blues, pinks greys, navy etc. He told me to avoid black, oranges and bright yellows. Glad to know I’ve been doing it right! Anything else fun you’ve used AI for?

There’s an interesting article about a journalist using and chatting to Claude.He interacted with ‘him’ for many hours and it became quite disturbing as to how human he became in his responses.At the mo it’s the wild west out there with AI and sometimes things are being created that even the creators don’t understand.I wonder if God feels the same😁

What is 'it', please, Luckygirl? Where do you go to type in your queries? Do you mean Co-pilot?

When I am designing local publicity I can ask it for e.g. a picture of a fete or a cup of tea, or any other theme I need and bingo ... there it is! I can include it on a poster or flyer.
I have to do research for concert programmes and it will give me an instant potted history and photo of the composer or an analysis of the work in question.

I haven’t but lots of people I know have and I’m pretty impressed. Problem is, I’m quite a suspicious person and don’t want to give out so much information about myself. Although, it’s probably out there already.

When people say they ask AI, what application/site do you use?

I have played around with the Co-pilot thing that comes with MS Word. It's surprisingly good, but I'm not really in favour of it - fine for writing a letter of complaint or something, but I don't want human creativity to be overtaken by machines.

I would have no idea how to get AI to read my colours, but quite like the idea. I would probably also enjoy making daft 'photos' such as my son getting an award for goalkeeper of the year or something, but again wouldn't know where to start. I am going to have to get on top of it, as I don't want to get left behind, which is so easy to do, so any advice for a beginner would be great, please.

And I can upload a piece of sheet music, ask for it to be transposed into another key and it happens instantly and you can download and print it... something I often need to do.
And it's all free!

Yes. I use ChatGBT at work sometimes. It's great for drafting emails, letters etc . For my personal life I find it very useful for other things. Eg I wanted a day out in a particular area and I asked it to tell me the best places to go based on my interests and within seconds it came up with suggestions and how to get there. It searches the internet far quicker than I can.
Also you can pop in pictures and ask for ideas say on how to decorate something and will come up with multiple plans instantly. No need to wade through pinterest or magazines etc.
You can ask it anything.

I put the OPs question in and it said this -

It also has a sense of humour ... I tested it with a flippant remark and it cottoned on that it was meant to be amusing. It has been programmed well.

I do use it for lots of things, e.g. if I want to do something in Word or Publisher and can't find how to, if my phone is on the blink it will troubleshoot for me, sums (e.g these are the dimensions of my bin ... where can I get the right liners?), what is the latest peer reviewed research on a particular medical treatment, and so on. It is very useful. So

But A1 isn’t just about copying an author it’s good at all kind of suggestions - how to decorate your house, what to cook with these ingredients etc. it can be super helpful.
