Hugs to Marydoll
I hope you feel better soon.

GrannySomerset Tue 01-Jul-25 07:34:11

Another night of little sleep but life should be more comfortable by the end of the week, though for how long? Bed changing and Wonderful Cleaner plus the chiropodist will fill the morning, tennis the afternoon as I am lethargic in the heat and am taking life slowly. Doubt if I am alone in this.

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s a warm sunny start to the day
A very Happy Birthday Bellas enjoy your special day! 💐🎂🥂
I’m going to the gym for a couple of classes, aerobics and line dancing. NannyJan - I’ve only recently started the line dancing so still getting to grips with it and remembering to turn the right way! In between the two classes there’s time for a coffee and a chat with a couple of ladies - that’s the best bit
Beautiful flowers Kalu thanks for the picture and hope the garden project goes well
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a very warm and clammy midlands. Not much sleep.

Happy birthday Bellasnana.

Knitting group this afternoon might have to be missed. It’s just too hot to knit. 🧶

Not doing much today. Sad really, because it’s my daughter’s birthday but we’ve been estranged for ages.

Hugs to all suffering in one way or another.

Susan56 Tue 01-Jul-25 07:32:44

I’m sorry you are feeling so unwell Marydoll.I really hope you feel better soon🙏🏻

Good morning from Shropshire.A hot start but thunder forecast later.

It’s our wedding anniversary today so out to lunch.First to church where H is reading for the first time then M is playing her violin. Two separate services so a marathon session.

Happy birthday Bellasnana🥳🍾🥂

Wishing everyone a good day and hope to see FGT back soon🙏🏻

Georgesgran Tue 01-Jul-25 07:28:14

🎂🥂 Bellasnana have a lovely day.

EkwaNimitee Tue 01-Jul-25 07:26:59

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle.
Yesterday morning I had my ears checked out by the surgery nurse. A 2 minute job which pleased her as she was already behind time. All clear for my hearing test next week.
Then it was back to the vacuuming followed by time in the garden after lunch to deal with the golden privet stump, a hard job I only half finished, the remainder today?
Kitchen and bathrooms this morning, a walk or the garden this afternoon plus I must finish an admin job, papers are spread all over the place. I'm trying to sort out my important documents and get them into a fireproof box I've just acquired.

Happy Birthday Bellasnana, I also would't mind being 69 again!

Good morning from a22degree W Kent, where I shall spend another day doing little apart from the ironing and watching tennis. Very little sleep here.
Happy birthday Bellasnana

glammagran Tue 01-Jul-25 07:20:46

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Bellsasnana. I truly thought Alcaraz was going out at the end of the 4th set. Not sure my DGD3 was overly impressed with the lack of attention she got after school yesterday as I was watching the match. She was drawing and colouring at the same time.

latedecember1963 Tue 01-Jul-25 07:19:01

Good morning everyone and happy birthday, Bellasnana. 🎂

Yesterday was too hot to do a 40 minute walk outdoors so I did an indoor walk using a "Walk With Leslie" on You Tube. She was recommended to me and, while I prefer outdoor walking, she's a good alternative.

The jackdaws are going mad here, with the smaller birds filling in the gaps so I suspect we're in for a storm.
I'll go and water the garden pots anyway in case it passes over.
Take care all. 🌻

Marydoll Tue 01-Jul-25 07:15:51

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
We certainly don't have the high temperatures here, that some of you are mentioning.

Have a lovely birthday, Bella, and Grambaretto, I hope your op went well.

I am so congested that I can hear very little. Is so isolating. What is really annoying ne is that DH is so impatient with me and thinks it is amusing to mouth the words and not actually speak.

Mu plan is to work in the garden today, I haven't been well enough to do it recently
Life is such a struggle just now, it is hard to be positive.
Our friend's transplant was due to take place today, but it has been cancelled again. DH has taken it quite badly and is so grumpy, I plan to avoid him as much as possible. 😉

I wish you all a pleasant day.

Kalu Tue 01-Jul-25 07:10:37

Happy birthday Bellasnana and…..many happy returns of the day. 🎂. I wouldn’t mind being 69 again!

GrandmaC47 Tue 01-Jul-25 07:10:07

Happy Birthday, Bellasnanna 🎂

Happy birthday bellasnana.

Good morning all. A fresh sunny morning in Glasgow after a muggy night, windows open but no breeze, I brought a fan up to the bedroom. In hindsight, I should probably have slept downstairs which was much cooler.

Gardener will be here today to help me move pots and garden furniture in preparation for a landscaping project which begins on Friday. I’m dreading the upheaval but looking forward to the finished result.

The glorious peonies here are a joy to see in the morning. So uplifting.

35deg. heat must have been unbearably hot Greyduster. I would not have been outdoors either, just can’t take such temperatures now. 25deg. with a gentle breeze is my limit.

Have the best day possible all.

Redcar Tue 01-Jul-25 07:07:11

Good morning from mid Essex, a bit of patchy cloud but mostly blue skies and sunshine. A pleasant 21 degrees in the garden. I went to the garden centre yesterday, but didn’t buy any plants as it’s too dry to plant anything. My hose is leaking so another visit to the garden centre for a new one soon. Meanwhile I’m emptying the water barrels!
I’ll visit my dementia friend later, otherwise nothing planned.
Have the best day possible everyone, thinking of those who are struggling for whatever reason.
I hope madeleine is ok, she hasn’t posted for a while. Best wishes to the fgts.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 01-Jul-25 07:07:04

Morning all from a rapidly warming West Oxfordshire.

White rabbits 🐇!
It would have been my parent’s 73rd wedding anniversary today.

I managed to do a Waitrose shop yesterday but by the afternoon it was too hot for me to be outside. Our cleaner however, did a magnificent job.

It is the WI coffee morning which I always enjoy.

After lunch I will pop round and see friends. The husband of one of our group had a massive stroke a couple of weeks ago and I am afraid there is no hope.

OH will go to his Shooting club tonight. He hasn’t been for four weeks as we were doing our pottery course. We are waiting for the email letting us know our efforts are fired and ready for collection.

Have a good day and keep hydrated.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 01-Jul-25 06:54:37

Good morning from another hot and sunny day, I love this weather 🌞🌞🌞

I have some ironing to do first thing, then I think I will make a quiche for dinner later.

Wishing you a very happy birthday Bellasnanna 🎂🥂🥳

Enjoy Lithuania grandMattie

Georgesgran Tue 01-Jul-25 06:37:06

Good Morning from a heavily overcast, still, Durham.
It’s been an uncomfortable night. The carpet cleaning went well. Poor man, what a job on such a hot day.
A problem with Octopus last night - a huge random overcharge. I emailed as soon as I saw it and just hope it can be easily sorted out. I’ve had trouble with Octopus before, their customer service is great, but I really shouldn’t need it!
Our cul de sac is being resurfaced today, so I’m off to move my car, as I’m meeting a friend for coffee at 10.30 and need to use the road. It’s bin day, so I’ve no idea how they’ll manage that.

Best wishes to all. X

Bellasnana Tue 01-Jul-25 06:36:44

Good morning from Malta where it’s going to hit 39°C later.

Pantglas you and me both! I love Alcaraz although he did make me a nervous wreck yesterday!😰

It’s my 69th birthday today and whilst I’m very grateful for another trip around the sun, the ‘glass half empty’ in me can’t help feeling a pang of fear that I’m another year nearer to my expiry date!😂😂

I’m with the boys and will be taking them to nursery later as their grandpa is unwell.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Mizuna Tue 01-Jul-25 06:35:21

Ash, it's an old nest. Apparently robins build a new nest for each brood, so I imagine the bird is busy plundering my greenhouse for its next clutch. 😁

RosesandLilac Tue 01-Jul-25 06:16:04

Good morning, a bright spot in south Glos here, light clouds but already 17° so out for dog walking very soon.
Yesterday was too hot, I had a headache by mid afternoon despite drinking plenty of water.
Tiddler and I had a lovely morning in the Shed, I finished my pencil drawing and I’m really pleased with the way it turned out. I didn’t really start the negative painting watercolour because it was drying too quickly so maybe today.
Salad for dinner again today, DH will grump but it’s too hot to cook in my opinion!
Take care everyone 🌹

Greyduster Tue 01-Jul-25 06:15:23

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is blissfully overcast and cool. It was horrendously hot yesterday and apart from a couple of forays into the garden to hang and retrieve laundry, I didn’t go out. At half past four in the afternoon, it was 35 degrees outside. I watered the garden at half past nine.
I shall go to gym early this morning - I didn’t make it yesterday. Then my SiL is leaving his car in my drive for a few days and I have to given him a lift back to work. Volunteering this afternoon and I hope it’s cool enough to walk to school. A nice shower of rain would fit the bill!
Have the best day you can folks.

Ashcombe Tue 01-Jul-25 06:07:38

Good morning from a very warm Torbay.

Mizuna: I hope the robin is safe with a nest so low. Wonderful how innovative creatures can be.

Good luck with setting up the feeder and camera, Sallyforth.

Our early foray to Lidl yesterday paid off as it was virtually empty. We felt like contestants on Supermarket Sweep! An added bonus was the 10% discount received at the till as I’d spent over £250 in the past month. We were home with everything stashed by 9.00am.

DH had a successful visit to the dentist where the cost was lower than the initial quotation. I went to the car wash, picked up a few items in Asda, including a dress that isn’t floor length unlike so many this season! After my exercise class, I was quite tired but managed a walk over the Downs to the pub before buying fish and chips to enjoy at home. Needless to say we have slept well.

Off to Props this morning whilst my cleaner is here.

A good day to everyone. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
