Does anyone have any experience on how to get one of these annoyances removed?
The tree is not a magnificent oak or endangered as ash or elm but a flipping sycamore. AKA a weed. It is quite spectacular but it is far too close to the house for safety. Branches are on the roof and I dread to think where the roots are going. Isn't their spread supposed to equate to that of the canopy?
In my previous house, the roots of the adjacent (next door) sycamores broke though my drains. I was not very happy, oddly enough. The drains were only about 12" away from the side of the house.
I have contacted the local authority, of course but so far, zero response.
Any bright ideas or experienced advice would be gratefully received.

You must be old if you have a purse or a wallet.
The early release scheme it's a gimmick and helps no-one but criminals. Just build more prisons.
