end of life care councils suspends council tax payments

Heard that a couple of councils, who have anyone in their area who are in end of life care, will suspend council tax payments for twelve months.
Thoughts any one?

Marie Curie are pushing for this (currently only in England). There's a firm to complete to support their campaign.

& so they should. I thought it was already a thing for people having end of life care!
