What’s your favourite aisle in the supermarket?

Just a bit of Friday trivia grin

Mine has to be the soap powders / fabric conditioners. Could literally spend half an hour looking at all the different brands .

What is it about notebooks, Sarnia and Grannybags*?

I can't resist a lovely pristine new notebook. I have two large boxes full of them at home - can't resist them - but the majority are unused. I consider them too beautiful to spoil with my writings.

I don't think my children are going to appreciate my collection when I pop my clogs, somehow.

The booze, fresh fish and stationery aisle.

Wine aisle for me too 😂

In hot weather I like the chilled aisle, but most of the time it’s the world foods aisle.

Ditto Whitewavemark.

Cheese and fruit and veg.

My favourite is the aisle where you can buy a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. I love supermarkets, but unfortunately, I cannot buy as I please because some prices have shocked me, and I have almost been caught out. A sirloin steak costing well over £20 is a prime example.

I don't have a favourite isle. Mostly I take a list and whizz round as quickly as possible.
Find what I went in for.....then leave.

Cleaning ailse. I love buying bleach. Also looking at the pretty toiletries in the larger supermarkets.

Pity the environment then. All that bleach. Please think about reconsidering your cleaning methods. smile

Where the reduced items and bargains are.

I could happily spend hours in a large supermarket but it is not good for my bank balance. I don't think I have a favourite aisle. Perhaps the yogurt area in a large supermarket.

None, I buy fresh from town centre butchers/fishmongers/fruit & veg. Because sadly those shops are ceasing to exist in many neighbourhoods.

But where do you buy laundry products and cleaning materials? Even my fishmonger who comes weekly and the independent butcher where I buy all our meat from don’t sell soap powder or loo rolls……….not yet anyway! 😂

Oh Aldi’s Aisle of wonder! Or is that Lidl’s designation?

So many things I didn’t even know existed or that I actually needed them?

Home delivery here too, can’t abide actually food shopping, but I do love a supermarket abroad, used to love food shopping in Françe.

Oh yes, it's far more exciting, especially the tableware and kitchen stuff.
And the deli counters.

Bargain shelf. Got five minky bra bags for £1.50 each- two in a pack.

Bukkie Thu 24-Jul-25 11:01:38

Oh yes Kate 1949 I love bread too, it's my favourite food.

I wouldn't say I have a favourite, but I do love a wee browse around the 'middle aisle' to see what random items they have that week.

Kate1949 Thu 24-Jul-25 10:27:48

Bread. I love bread.

Astitchintime Thu 24-Jul-25 10:25:39

None of them particularly…….I'm not hugely keen on food shopping to be honest but it has to be done and the best part being the way out.

TerriBull Thu 24-Jul-25 10:14:38

Favourite, or where we find we spend the most time? Fruit and veg, sometimes more by accident than design, my Sainsbury's seem to have an inordinate amount of weighing machines out of action, so I wander around trying to find the one that works.

Pantglas2 Thu 24-Jul-25 10:13:21

All the fresh fruit, veg and bread and of course the refreshments, ahem, section….😂

I hate the cereals aisles in large supermarkets (we only ever buy porridge and muesli) with their vast quantities of sugar laced UPFs 😵‍💫

My thoughts too GG13! 🥂
