Good morning Mick from Cheshire where the sky is brightening. Yesterday was the same and turned out to be a very nice day. Great news on the health front Mick. That must have cheered you.

JamesandJon33 I hope the weather is kind to you for the performance of Macbeth, but remember every time the witches appear there is thunder or storms!

Driving to Scotland today, so as usual couldn't sleep when I have a journey. Fortunately I'm not doing the driving so I could snooze at some stage. I know the weather isn't going to be great, but I haven't been anywhere for months and it's such a superb scenery. It will be nice to spend time with my nieces and families so I'm looking forward to it very much.

Just got some packing to finish and take my hanging baskets to a neighbour who will care for them whilst I'm away.

Enjoy your day whatever you have planned and kind wishes to all with worries. flowers

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset

Woke to rain yesterday, enough to form puddles and nicely dampen the garden . It cleared and we wandered out to a breezy sea front. Coffee by the sea wall and a decision to wander further. We headed back to to the car and along the coast for lunch in pleasant sunshine, goodness it was windy though. A shirt stroll and home again.

Not sure what today will bring other than some paperwork for me.

That’s good news mick. Very happy birthday wishes to your son grandmattie. I’m sorry you had sad news about a neighbour.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather cool, dreary South Yorkshire where we have had rain overnighted are in for more today. Yesterday, I did very little except read seventeen chapters of the book I picked up from the library on Friday, and finish off sorting out the garage and throwing more stuff away. I was delighted to find two pairs of leather gloves that have been missing for ages. What they were doing in the garage I have no idea but I’m delighted to have them back. I had a walk round the lanes after tea.
Today will be another slow day. Some housework and ironing and if the rain holds off, a bit of gardening.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from the Suffolk coast.
There was a loud strange noise about an hour ago that woke me. Liked a hooter , the rest of the family must have gone back to sleep but I’m just lying here. s soon as I move, the dogs will want to go out.

We had a nice day yesterday with 10 of us here , swimming in the sea, barbeque and lots of chat.
The rain started at about 3, and luckily we had the bbq for lunch.
DS1 and DIL left in the evening and the rest of us played card games in the kitchen.

Not sure what’s on today - weather not looking too good. We’ll see!

I hope you all have a good day. 🌼

Good morning from a cloudy spot in south Glos, I welcome the cooler weather, suits me fine 😊
That’s great news Mick, really pleased for you.
We took the dogs to the Common for a change yesterday, where I did the wildflower walk on Thursday, a nice change of scenery. Today will probably be a village walk I think.
I washed all the living room throws yesterday, they dried well on the line, and I cleared the pile of ironing while listening to the radio. Not much else happened, a rather quiet day again today.
Wishing you all a good day 🌹

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

Excellent news Mick, I’m so pleased for you

Yesterday was spent helping DD prepare her house for the family gathering today. It is gleaming, I could do with applying the same energy to my own house.

I think we will stay over there tonight DD will be working tomorrow and we can help with the clearing up.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from yet another dry day in Bristol.

Very good news re health, Mick, happy for you.. didn’t the TdF traditionally end on Bastille day?

The estate is rather subdued at the moment as one of our most recent residents died in the early hours of yesterday. She had been on palliative care for the last month or so. It’s sad as they only moved here about 4 months ago. A very frail, but sweet couple. Poor chap, he’ll be lost without her.

It’s DS’s birthday today; he is 47 and was born the day after Louis Brown, the first test-tube baby. The other big event was Richard Branson’s unsuccessful balloon Atlantic crossing.

Yesterday was quiet, except that my neighbour took me on a little walk around the next village, visiting a little nature reserve. The local river was down to a trickle as it’s been so dry.

I called one of my friends from Deal in Kent and she mentioned that they had rain every day for at least a fortnight - if only we had that much rain. The irony is that the West is normally very wet, the opposite of the East of the country.

I’m lunching with DS so shall go to the early service so as to get there on time by bus. It’ll be a bit sad as he’s leaving tomorrow for his new job in Tanzania and I shan’t see him until next year.

Have a blessed Sunday, find contentment in your lives. Carpe diem 🦩🦩❤️🦩🌷🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dry but with a grey sky over brackley this morning.
An update on my health for those that are interested , the CT scan and blood tests I had done this last 12 months ,have shown no sign of tumour growth , also up to next July will be my final year of those observations.
Weight wise its variable but lower than it was 3 years ago, I have some Complan ,and have found chewing Gaviscon helps the bowels .
Final day of the tour de France with its Paris finale , I did see the race twice in the 80`s on the Champs Elysees .
Take Care,
Mick
