Good morning all from a dry north Wales and how lovely to read Bellasnana post 👋 - you’ll not be far away in Chester, such a stunning city!

Mr PG continues his pincushion journey today (RSV) poor boy is full of punctures 😂 but as long as he stays healthy, I’m happy! How marvellous Mr FGT is now back where he belongs!

Will pop along later for a catch up…

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.
I had a very lazy day yesterday but today I'm getting the train (s) to DD2's house in Kent. I'll be there until Friday mainly to look after my 7 year old DGD. I don't think my nearly 17 year old DGD needs 'looking after'. DD2 and SIL are off to a wedding in Whitstable.
When they get back on Thursday DD2, DGD1 and I are going to see Les Mis. I've seen it before and loved it, so im very much looking forward to seeing it again.
Happy Monday, best wishes to all xx

I thought I was unusual in getting up early, but I see I'm not alone. It's a bit damp this morning, but I'm not planning on going out. I shall whizz through the cleaning and then watch the sewing channel.
It's lovely to live alone and be free to do as I please.

Good morning from a sunny corner of La Sarthe. Yesterday evening it turned quite chilly in the wind and we had to dine indoors.

I’m glad you enjoyed the play, JamesandJon33. I once saw Macbeth performed at Stafford Castle which was very atmospheric with soldiers fighting in the woods as we approached. It was a modern interpretation in which the witches were glamorous vixens who enticed Macbeth into a hot tub!

Good to hear from Bellasnana; lovely to catch up with the younger generation.

How unsettling for your DS, grandMattie; I hope he receives the paperwork in time.

On Saturday, I was pleased to discover that the Lidl Plus loyalty app on my phone works at Lidl here! We were able to activate reductions on items on offer and received a €5 reduction on the bill. Thought that would be of interest to anyone travelling in Europe this year.

Hope this is a good week for you all. 🦩💐🇫🇷🥰🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 46° in Fahrenheit and cloudy. My phone won't turn it to celcius and I can't be bothered to work it out. Bellasnana it sounds like you are making the best out of what was a sad occasion. GrandMattie I hope your ds gets all his paperwork sorted.
Yesterday we had a lovely family breakfast at the garden centre. Ds had bought the boys "giggle sticks" which made a funny noise when turned upside down. They turned them into swords! They were hastily removed by DD. I dropped off ds at the station afterwards and headed home for a quiet afternoon. The painter arrived to quote and will be at the end of August/beginning of September so that's done. I made a large slow cooker pot of lentil soup too.
Today is back to early childcare day. I'll be heading out soon to go to the boys house. I don't think we'll get up to much today. Have a good day all

Lovely to read your post Bellasnana. Enjoy being back in Chester, where I used to live. Our house was in Upton by Chester.
My children went to Abbey Gate school.
I enjoy following your life in Malta too as we have a relative who used to have a property in Valletta and we stayed there. I love Malta.
Travel safely. flowers

Good morning from a grey midlands.
A walk soon then doing food shopping.
It’s a lonely planet. Hugs to all suffering. Dark dog days are debilitating.

Nice to hear from you, bellasnana. Glad that, despite the sad reason for coming to the UK, you are now having a good time.

Good morning from a grey Bristol. No rain forecast. I shall have to water the flowers again today.
I was absolutely delighted to hear of all FGT’s good news. It must be wonderful to have himself back home, feeling so much better! 🫂
I went to the early service for the first time yesterday since coming here, to the surprise of many parishioners. I used to go to the BCP in Sandwich, when DH was ill as it’s short. When he died, I’d go to hide, as I couldn’t bear to be sociable. But here the reverse is true. I want to mix and talk to people.
One of the ladies gave me 3 lb of tiny red mirabelle plums. So I made jam before going to join DS. As DD has taken both cars away, we have to take buses.
He’s very fidgety as he’s expecting some paper work to take away with him, but despite waiting in ALL day on Friday, DHL didn’t deliver it. He hopes it will come before he leaves.
The new school sends him requirements in dribs and drabs, which he find very unsettling. He’s only just found out that he’s teaching year 11 as well as the expected Y12 and 13…
We had a lovely time together, having a roast dinner in a pub. He hasn’t had too many in India or at vegetarian DD’s.
Today, Tesco then probably some sewing. Everything has shut down for the summer, which is very sad for the people living alone/isolated.
Carpe diem one and all 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning from beautiful Keswick in the Lake District where it is overcast but it raining.

I have had a lovely few days with my late sister’s family and have especially loved getting to know the my three great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Lots of cuddles and outings with them.

Tomorrow I move on to Chester for a week to catch up with old friends.

WiFi has been a bit iffy here so I haven’t been able to post, hopefully this one won’t disappear into the ether as well!

Hope you are all doing well and have a good day.☀️

Bore Da Mick and anyone else awake.
A dull and quite dark morning here in Carmarthenshire.
The Shakespeare last evening at the castle was brilliant, and packed. Nearly dark when we got home, the evenings are drawing in I fear.
Have a gentle day everyone

Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken to a dry but grey sky above here in brackley this morning.
Apart from my usual routine , housework prior to going to Bicester to shop ,and say hello to those I know.
Living in a Anchor Residental Home in a bedsit , I lookout on to a garden , some of the residents receive care, and even myself can pull the cord if I feel as though I require help with my health .
Health at the moment OK , keeping a daily figure of weight as I have lost some over past few months .
Take Care,
Mick
