Just that really. The reality that is calling for an Uber now that neither of us drive, in the Algarve in August.

Ubers are great, but they keep you guessing until the very last minute, will they or won’t they arrive? Will they decide to change routes, cars and drivers?

Do we have a choice? Not really if we would like to eat out at the weekend. Our choice, a small Portuguese restaurant changed several tables at least twice while we were there.
We enjoyed watching a family whose beautiful teenage daughter gradually relaxed and started teasing her younger, maybe ten year old brother. How hard it is for young families with teenagers. I think it always has been.

Then our battle to find an Uber. They keep cancelling. After today we will wait to look for one until 5.45 on Monday evening. I’ve a regular slot at the local small meds clinic for a dressing on my shin. DH accidentally kicked me!

Sounds like an interesting day dustyangel. I don’t have a holiday booked this year and am missing being ‘abroad’.

Good to see you posting dustyangel

Hope your lunch was enjoyable, haven’t been to the Algarve for a couple of years, I miss it.

Thank you both, yes lunch was extremely enjoyable and worth the hassle. Temperature is still about 31°, which is why I have been dozing all afternoon. Although DH says it’s the wine consumed with lunch. grin
