Have you a favourite one, for me southwold scores quite high. But for a family day out I still love good ole skeggy ,Although last time I was there was five years ago so could well have changed
Sounds like you’re talking about seaside towns — Southwold with its calm charm and colourful beach huts versus Skegness with its full-on family fun and arcades.
Southwold definitely has that genteel, postcard-perfect vibe (good fish and chips, a pier that’s more quaint than brash), while Skeggy is unapologetically buckets-and-spades, candyfloss, and a bit of kiss-me-quick nostalgia.
If it’s been five years since you went to Skegness, you might find it’s had some changes — the beach and donkeys are still there, but there have been some updates around the seafront and aquarium.
