I am not sure he will find anybody with a spare room big enough to accommodate him and his ego. The vague hints at what he might or might not contribute translate as virtually nothing except potentially boring pseudo-intellectual conversation. As for the application form.
I don't think he is that great looking, who knows what lies behind the beard. Maybe just not my type.
It's not the way it's made out I think. Not for me but I know 2 people who would potentially be interested in this.
We have also "hosted" a festival person in the past CariadAgain - though he was introduced by a friend. I tolerated him for a week or maybe 10 days perhaps once or twice a year as he was "passing through" - but I was always clear... "You have to go on Thursday" or whatever. I did this even if the next stop had "fallen through"... because, well, "You will be OKyou are resourceful"
..and he's obviously bearing in mind that he's quite easy on the eye.....
I've known one like that where I am now - and he was extremely proud that he'd managed to get chatting to people at festivals - and then get invited to their home (where he stayed for 6 months and I'd be willing to bet he contributed absolutely nothing and ate all their food).
He wants basically free accommodation, while giving just modest help with bills, and in return will do a bit of gardening and provide ‘creative conversation’ or some such waffly bolax.
