Good morning all from a cool (14 deg) Co Armagh, it’s very foggy , we are in a longish valley here and fog or mist seems to gather
Busy day yesterday , I bought bright pink sandals ! Very good soles on and comfortable , but they do look very pink this morning!
Hoping for a less busy day today
grandMatie I get those messages about low storage , but there doesn’t seem to be a problem when I check it out ?
Have a good day all

Good morning all from a cloudy but warm Black country where we have had some overnight rain.
Yesterday we ended up at the garden centre bought a few bits from the deli followed by tea and cake in the cafe.
Today DS and the boys are coming will probably go to the park where there is a splash pool followed by the yellow arches.
Safe travels those on the move, best wishes for anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset. 32 degrees forecast today.

It became very humid and overcast yesterday, just a few spots of rain. I carried on cutting down the climbing roses until the bags were filled and did little else. Mr C seemed more like himself if still very tired. I’d like to request a GP appointment for him, so far he’s not agreeing. I may need to involve the big guns, aka our sons!

Grocery order arriving this morning. I’ll do a little dust removal before the heat picks up then retreat to a fan and a book.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from a warm (and going to get warmer) S E Essex.

I paid for having a nap yesterday afternoon by not having a very good nights sleep. I feel rather weary which is not good when I have three GC here this afternoon, The Imp, and DS4’s two (5 and 8), no doubt the 8yr old GD will keep the boys firmly under control 😹 Then I shall take the 5yr old to his gymnastics training and leave DH with the other two.

Thinking of FGT2 and himself 🤞🏻

whywhywhy I had a number of wonderful holidays in Ilfracombe as a young teen with my family. Your post brought back happy memories.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and cloudy. Rosesandlilac salad with new potatoes sounds wonderful. Kalu I hope the visit to the dentist goes well.
Yesterday was a day in the house and the garden for me and the boys. Dgs1 has rediscovered his love of cars and held races on my bed. And in my bed as I discovered when I found some random cars under my sheet and pillows at bedtime. Dgs2 decided to boss me about in the garden and got short shrift. He changed his mind and became sweetness and light. 😂 I had an early visit from my brother regarding mum's estate. He was on his way to the lawyer. That was everything concluded and the estate moneys split between us. I just wish she could have enjoyed her money more herself.
Today I will take them to soft play as it is the last day of their school holidays. Then back to my house for more playing and drawing. They will be picked up early because DD and Dsil are going to see Oasis in Edinburgh and the boys are going to their other grandparents for a sleepover. Dd will pick them up in the morning to take to school.
Tonight I will finish preparation for the decorator coming in the morning. I need to move some last minute stuff. Have a good day all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sun is up and it’s going to be hot. Yesterday I got up early and planted my new heathers, made another lot of jam, froze another lot of plums and am thankful there won’t be many more coming off the tree! In the afternoon I cut the box hedge round the front lawn with the electric hedge trimmer, which I’ve never used before, and managed to make a neat job of it. I always used the hand shears but I can’t get them sharpened anywhere now and don’t do a good enough job with a whetstone. The clearing up took longer than the cutting (add in a long conversation with my neighbour who was taking her dogs for a walk) and then I was tired out.
Gym this morning, and then I don’t know what else. We’ll see as the day unfolds.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a bright looking Torbay following light showers yesterday and a cooler afternoon.

Yesterday, I returned to the venue for Move It or Lose It only to find nobody there! I wasn’t pleased as I’d struggled to motivate myself to go and had to negotiate roadworks to reach the hall. Unusually, there had been no notification from the teacher or my friends in the class but then I’ve been away for a month - gone and forgotten!

Thank you for helpful comments regarding tinnitus yesterday. I tried a Sudafed nasal spray a couple of times which has given some relief. If it returns, I’ll contact the Audiology Dept at the hospital as it’s two years since my hearing was checked when my hearing aids were replaced.

I hope your BP has settled by now, Blossoming, and you feel better today.

A good day to all and keep cool! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a cloudy but warm midlands.
We had a lovely holiday at my son’s place at ilfracombe. The drive back was long yesterday with lots of congestion on the M5.
Shopping this morning with knitting group this afternoon.
Hugs to all suffering and try and stay cool. 🤗

Good morning from a cloudy morning in Cheshire. I missed any of the promised meteor shower, but did see the moon about 3 a.m. I've been crocheting ever since. We're to have a temp of 30C later. It looked thundery last night, but we only had a light shower.

I shall be going to painting group this morning and will buy lunch at the deli nearby. I will be in the shady part of the garden this afternoon. Won't be continuing with my crochet as it's like a warm blanket now.

A neighbour tells me she saw a kingfisher by a pond not far away so I will take a stroll up there and hopefully see it. I do have at least 3 goldfish left in the pond. The heron hasn't returned as far as I know and I have now put a net over the pond.

Wishing all a good day. Kind wishes to those with struggles of any kind. flowers

Good Morning fr MS. I hope all those feeling poorly have a better time today, & all those going off on trips & outings, enjoy themselves & have safe journeys.

Good morning, it’s a tad damp around the edges here in south Glos after the light showers yesterday evening, not enough to really help.
I’m about to take tiddler out, bigger dog has her dog walker this morning, then after the usual housework I will do more drawing. It’s going to be very hot today so this afternoon will be spent indoors reading I think, or doing some more of my knitting. The Shed gets rather uncomfortably warm despite having a fan.
Salad for lunch with new potatoes, my favourite food 😋
Thinking of those who are poorly or struggling, hugs for those who need one 🌹

Good morning from Glasgow where it is partly cloudy at 14deg. Rising to 26deg. today.

Not a full night sleep last night but you win some you lose some and I will probably have a nap later to catch up. Dental appointment this morning, part of the plan to replace my lower teeth with implants as my gums have receded so much.
The rest of the day will gladly be spent outdoors, in the shade.

Best wishes to all for a pleasant day.

Good morning from s somerset, it will be very hot and sunny today

The heat is going to build up quickly, it will be 30+ by 12

I want some exercise after knitting most of yesterday, yes I did go to the allotment by 5.30, it was blissfully cool then and home again 60 minutes later before anyone else arrived there

A speedy walk for me soon, leaving here by 8 then I need to sort my tall fridge but I will get the routine jobs done first. I do think that remaining cool enough will be problematic today and getting up at 4 means another nice afternoon nap.

Have a good day

Good morning from Bristol. Yes, the sun is yet to rise, but there are few clouds this end. We did get another teeny drop of rain in the early evening.
It was lovely to go to Tesco yesterday and be joyously greeted by some church ladies in the cafe. We always have coffee when my neighbour’s friend comes, which makes it a long morning.
Once home, I prepared lunch, for DD who had invited herself. This including a coleslaw without any alliums for DD. She has huge problems digesting them and commercial coleslaw always includes them.

I had a good hour with her and I as given an update on their lives. DSiL who resigned from his job in January as he was so dreadfully unhappy, is still out of work, despite applying for them almost weekly.
The girls are doing well, and they enjoyed their holiday in Normandy . This included Iris who went off on a ride on the beach near Caen without her parents or any French!
I’m going to this MU meeting this afternoon, but spending the morning reducing the volume of stuff on my Apple electronics as I am receiving a blizzard of emails telling me that my iCloud storage is nearly full. I never wanted to use the cloud as I think the space and electricity use are disgraceful.
I hope that the unwell feel better and everyone keeps safe in this heat. Another week of it!☹️
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
