Oh my goodness FGT. I am so sorry.
Your dear husband fought so hard.

FGT, I am so sorry to hear your devastating news.
What a wonderful man your darling husband is, to find such comforting and wonderful words to say to you.
💐
FGT I am so very sorry to read your news this morning
My eyes filled with tears, FGT2 as I read your post. Feeling so very sad for you both as you tread the well-worn path.
But your DH is very wise with those beautiful words.

FGT
I am so very sorry
Crying with you - those of us who have been there AND those who haven't can share your grief

I’m so sorry, FGT coming to terms with a prognosis nobody wants to hear is the hardest thing to bear.
What a lovely thing for Himself to say. You will treasure those words forever and they will comfort you. ❤️
FGT
I have no words

💐FGT - no words. X
Good morning everyone from south Manchester. Thank you to all for thinking of us these past weeks, your kindnesses and good wishes. Sadly, we received the most devastating news. Himself’s scans showed huge cancer growth. The chemotherapy hadn’t been working so it was stopped. Our whole little family cried tears of anguish.
Then on Thursday the GP did a home visit. He spiked a temperature of 39.9°C so she rang the crisis line at Christie’s. An ambulance was dispatched immediately and we were blue lighted to the hospital. He was put in an isolation ward, given iv Mero antibiotic, fluids, two blood transfusions. His blood pressure was dangerously low. I was beyond agitated and scared.
Yesterday most thankfully he had stabilised and was moved to a general ward where he will remain for several more days. Our sorrow at the whole situation knows no bounds.
When I cried, Himself squeezed my hand. He’d been advised to put some of his affairs in order. I just told him I’d be so very sorrowful without him. He said “In time, I will take all this sorrow with me and leave you with the joy of living”.
I’m crying again, thinking how much I love him. x
Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it looks like it will be a cloudy warm day.
Today is our annual summer family meet up. Normally we just do a BBQ but this year we are having a Sunday lunch out together and back here for tea and cake later. I think DH putting up the pergola has scared the previously forecast sunny day away!
I worked hard yesterday tidying up the garden. The season is changing my hardy fuchsias have been late and pretty poor this summer not really sure why.
Marydoll do hope you will feel more comfortable today. Hope Mick has a good day in Bath. Thinking of kalu Susan FGTs and others too that are going through difficult times. Life can change in a heartbeat, take care everyone and have a good Sunday.
Marydoll one of my DGSs put DH and I on the ‘Findmy’ app and can keep track of where we are, we find it comforting really, we can track each other and DS can also see us. We can also watch them which they don’t seem to find odd at all. My Db has also been put on as he goes off alone for long walks on The Fens and at over 75 we do worry about that.
Good Morning from a sunny Co Armagh, I’m hoping for rain later !
I’m home alone for a few days and have lots of favourite plants to be kept alive ! Oh dear !
I’m off to Mass shortly, candles will be lit. I leave my rollator outside the Chapel and rely on a stick indoors , I tap my way to the candles , but if there are too many people about I ask someone to light them for me 🙂
Enjoy the day …..
Good morning from an overcast NE, heating has come on again.
I was woken by my tablet pinging, DS sending photos of GDs at the Leeds Festival, looks like they were having a great time.
It is DS and DIL's wedding anniversary, they are going to Howick Hall in Northumberland and are going to call in on their way home.
Thoughts are with sad and poorly people.
You are much kinder than I would be, Maw, such inefficiency would infuriate me. Hope the covid isn’t too awful and that you feel better soon. Hope the same for Marydoll and all who are struggling. Other than church in our smallest building I have no plans apart from the Sunday paper and ensuring that the house stays cool.
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. Just a quiet day yesterday, my back troubling me after my break in the Isle of Man. I had FaceTimes with DD in the south and Dsister in the south also. DD was off to see my BIL and SIL not too far from her, taking a couple of books I passed on. She’s very thoughtful as her flying life is very busy. I decided not to go to the local production in the evening as the back was unwilling and I was feeling generally fatigued.
I’ll carry on sorting out my art stuff etc. and look forward to another quiet day.
Hope your trip works out well Mick, thoughts to Kalu Susan and FGT🌺
Good morning everyone from a sunny south coast. More gardening on the cards today. I’m determined to get on top of the cutting back.
Yesterday!s flower and veg show was a success. There was a good turnout. The entries were down due to a difficult growing season but the standard was still very high.
Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday.
Good morning from Shropshire.
Yesterday was difficult making phone calls for my brother.I was happy to help him but emotionally exhausted and in bed very early.
No plans today.I will try and get a couple more things ticked off the to do list.
Ash my DGS1 loves the cat cafe.
Hoping Marydoll is feeling better today and thinking of the FGT’s.
Wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌻
Good morning all and another fine day on the cards. I wish we were at our seaside home. Never mind, if all goes according to plan we’ll be there on Thursday for a week.🤞.
Lots of jobs got done yesterday and I think ive done too much as my ‘cataract’ eye was prickly and sore. I must be more conscious of the fact and stop ‘doing’.
Today Dd and youngest DGD will come for lunch - roast chicken and goodness knows what for gd. A very picky eater. I’ve made veg soup so she might have that.
We’ll have a walk with the dog and maybe go to the park for a run around . She’ll probably cartwheel her way around it.🤸🤸♂️.
Only one more week of the school hols. It’s flown by.
Bellasnanna lovely to have your Dd with you. Enjoy every moment.
Bluesapphire gardeners seem to be very unreliable these days. Turning up or not whenever they fancy it, and letting people down.
Enjoy your days out and get well wishes to all the poorlies. 🍁
Good Morning from Durham. An overcast and still start to the day. The decorators only took 3 hours to do their work yesterday and I’m pleased with the results, as it’s really improved the ‘kerb appeal.’ My new tyres were £370, half the price for my previous car’s, so happy with that too.
Unfortunately, some niggling issues are preventing me from being as active as I’d like, so I had to decline DD1’s offer to accompany her and DGS1 to an indoor bowling session. I won’t be doing much today either, other than replacing things the decorators had to move.
Welcome home Maw
Hoping Marydoll is taking it easy.
Best wishes to all. X
