Has anyone seen this? We have just got back from the cinema and we both enjoyed it. It's hard to pigeonhole it - it's funny in parts, sad in others and there is a romantic element to it too.

Without spoiling the plot, a man lives a lonely life on a remote island, and makes it his mission to reunite a folk duo who used to play together as a couple. I will say no more, but if it's on near you on a rainy afternoon you could do worse than to go and see it.

We saw it and loved it. Tom Basden is a genius.

I think it's called The Ballad of Wallis Island.

Yes, I really enjoyed this film. Touching but funny too.

Oh yes, it is Wallis Island grin. My mistake.

Really enjoyed this, too. Some lovely moments, funny moments, but never got too sentimental.

It’s on my list to watch. There aren’t too many feel good films around and this apparently is one of them..

I thought it was a great film- very real and not cliched. Different and original. I think I even started a thread on it a few months ago!

I loved it and would certainly see it again.
