I have several pairs of toe post birkenstocks and can walk for miles in them.

My DH wears them in summer and finds they are comfortable and good for pottering but long walks no would not recommend. I have never tried them they always seem a bit wide and clumpy for my feet. I wear Clarkes Brinkley flip flop sandel which are very comfortable but again not for longer walks and sightseeing. We would need a more supportive shoe.

I wear Birks constantly, though I wouldn’t wear them on a strenuous walk. Sightseeing , yes. Al day at home yes.

I wear them all the time, in the house and out and about. I very unfashionably wear them with socks in the winter!

Thanks for your comments. I’ll take a look at Moshulu as well

I’ve had Birkenstocks in the past and they are comfy but I now prefer Moshulu’s range of cork bed sandals. I have several pairs and wear them from about April right through to October. I just love them.

This exactly.

Personally I do, but I wore my new ones sightseeing in Florence and I did get a blister on the top of my foot.
They are fine to walk a few miles in now I'm used to them.

I find them versatile to wear with lots of things, easy to drive in & they suit my wide feet.

Some advice please- do you find Birkenstocks comfortable? To wear all day and walk a few miles on errands, sightseeing etc
