Sending hugs to you grandMattie, I know how you feel, I haven’t spoken to either of my two for months, just the occasional WhatsApp message 🤗🤗💐 They’re too busy too I guess.
Good morning, it’s a clear sky here on my hillside in south Glos, it’s supposed to be raining at the moment according to the local weather forecast 🤷🏼‍♀️ We did have a couple of minutes of torrential rain yesterday but nowhere near enough to make any difference.
I went into town yesterday to get the camera on my phone sorted, needless to say it was more than just the camera, apparently the ‘motherboard’ was ‘cooked’ 🤷🏼‍♀️ Who knows why or what that meant except I had to buy a new phone 😡 I did point out that it was only 5 years old and the chap laughed. That’s decrepit where phones are concerned?
Anyway, he set up the new one then it took me several hours to sort out passwords for various apps I use, very frustrating as I am anything but tech savvy. All done now I think 🤞🏻
Besides walking the dogs I’m going to get on with some painting today, I might get out the acrylics for a change.
Sending hugs to those who need one 🌹

Good morning from a cloudy Black Country,

We actually had a good 30 minutes of rain yesterday morning, then again in the afternoon. Didn't seem to make much difference to the garden though.

Had a pleasant couple of hours meeting a friend for lunch in a Garden Centre cafe. Only the 2nd time we have managed to meet up this year. She is relieved that her son now has a new job after being made redundant in the New Year, literally months after buying a house. He has 2 young children too.

Today our little Thursday walking group is walking 10K for Cancer Research. We have so far raised over £700!

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning from a dry midlands. It rained during the night.
Not much planned for today.
I’ve not seen two of my grandchildren since march all thanks to my estranged daughter. It hurts.
Hugs to all suffering.

Good morning from Malta where we expect a sunny day with a high of 37°C.

The boys were good as gold yesterday. Gave them breakfast then took them up to the little play park which is only a couple of minutes walk away although we couldn’t stay too long as it gets hot very quickly.

Took them to nursery after lunch and missed their company when I went home although little dog Bertie was glad to see me!

They will be here again this morning but DD’s 1 & 3 return tonight after what looks to have been a lovely few days in Budapest judging by the pictures, so today is my last childcare day for this week.

I was up early watching the tennis and there’s more to come later on so I shall be glued to it.

I hope you all have a good day.☀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s just getting light in South Yorkshire and I have been up since three. Both Venus and Jupiter very large and clear in the eastern sky. Yesterday was a write off for one reason or another. I couldn’t settle to anything. Today the morning promises to be dry and I have walking group and then lunch at DDs. We are in for a wet afternoon it seems. I hope they get it right this time; the garden is desperate for more water than I can get to it.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a dry Bristol. The forecast rain missed us entirely. I hope we’re luckier today. Not holding my breath!
Yesterday was rather nice as I spent time chatting to people in church at the FAB cafe. We were 16, several of whom were newer members.
The vicar was there and told us that he had booked two different performers to come, one in October and one in November. Might be as popular as the last one. A lot of work for the hosts though.
The afternoon was spent assembling strips of fabric for my newest quilt. A lot of calculations involved in the assembling thereof, still not decided how though.
Taichi this morning. No dinner at DD’s as they are too busy. It saddens me that I have only seen them once since the beginning of the holidays. I feel that I’m a nuisance and a burden to them, although my needs are minimal and I do everything on my own, e.g. my cataract operation, etc.
Hope those with mountains to climb find some respite.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
