Every morning and evening I go through the palaver of removing and replacing cushions on our bed, every bed in the house has a cushion arrangement!
It always seems a shame to throw them on the floor each evening and then there’s the huffing and puffing when my husband tries to replace them in the morning but gets it hopelessly wrong.
Do you fiddle and faff with cushions or could you not give a flying fig?
Pictures please.

When I find out I shall let you know but thanks for the posts.
Sometimes I am a bit low but happy chatty threads like this give me a real boost so thank you oreo for starting it.

Those cushions are lovely Twopence.
I am totally useless with a needle and thread.
Can sew on a button but that is it.
At 88 I am still trying to figure out if I have any particular talent at all.
How sad is that.
😂
I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up, Usedtobeblonde!
I'm a bit younger than you, though
Sometimes, when a post amuses me, I look to see who wrote it, and it’s often you! So I would say you have a talent for humour, and that’s a really good talent to have! 💐

Loving all the pictures, it’s so nice to share a little bit of ourselves.
As UtbB has said we form an impression of various posters and the glimpse behind the front door can surprise, in a good way of course.
I agree, Laura. It's lovely. Thank you all.
I don't have any cushions myself but often make them as presents for family and friends on special occasions.

Milest0ne I have a duvet cover where the top layer is all lace
A tablecloth in the middle with the plain centre covered with other hand made lace.
It's really lovely.
The back is plain white sheeting.
It's actually quite heavy so not a "summer" cover really.
Most of my pieces are small, cushion size, but I might be able to mix and match to make a larger size Thank you for the idea.

I have boxes of MiL's lace, crochet . tray cloths. They make pretty cushions I am running out of ideas of what to do with such a lot of lace and trims. I have several strips to go on the end of pillow cases
No cushions for me just pillows and they HAVE to be right.
Beautiful Lahlah and noone else will have one like it.
I will be looking in Dunelm for the donkeys Grandmadinosaur.

I still blush with embarrassment when I remember one year we posted photos of our Christmas trees and I compared LauraNorderr’s to a bottle brush.
And it really is just like a bottle brush but it will come out again this year.
It’s eight inches tall and is all I can bear in my tiny flat.
Hopefully one day soon the tiny flat will sell and we can buy a little house with room for a bigger tree…
perhaps thirty-six inches
That is so pretty!

I’ve loved this thread but then I’m obsessed with cushions! Well, some women buy shoes so …. Get over here Oreo you know you want to and you’re halfway already with that fake orchid. I haven’t got any cushions on the bed but can’t see it’s much of a faff to toss them on the floor at night and put them back in the morning, the work of moments. All your cushions (and pets!) are lovely. I shall be changing mine to the autumn range soon! 😉
Am feeling the siren call of a cushion or two and maybe, gasp! A large scented candle. If not careful I will even be buying another fake orchid and buying a cat to arrange on the bed.😁
An Autumn range😲 whoa, that’s an addictive step too far for me at the moment…..
I like to air my bed.
I fold the duvet completely back and push the windows wider in summer/warm weather.
I don't "make" the bed for hours.
Cushions on a bed seem curious to me.

But, in my view, the cushion and runner etc in our room make the room more attractive. Do none of you go into your bedrooms between getting up and going to bed?
My hair in the bedroom has a similar cushion to the one on the bed and I have a real orchid on my chest of drawers.
My chair in the bedroom not my hair - that would be silly.
Rarely kitty once I'm downstairs that’s it, unless I’m cleaning, if the bed is being stripped one of us does it when we get up.
We have a couple between the pillows, but we have a super king bed and the gap looks odd without. Oddly you can't get super king pillows, so super king duvet sets don't have larger pillow cases.

No cushions on the bed for me either, I don't have much space in my bedroom so wouldn't know where to put them at night. Also don't really see the point, nobody but me and my husband would see them and he's not a cushion kind of man.
Cushions on the sofa are another matter, they make it so much more comfortable. I'm currently looking for some new ones are the old ones are wearing on their piping and looking past their best. Quite a decision as the room is fairly plain and the cushions give it a bit of a lift!
