Show us your cushions……..we need something lighthearted!

Every morning and evening I go through the palaver of removing and replacing cushions on our bed, every bed in the house has a cushion arrangement!

It always seems a shame to throw them on the floor each evening and then there’s the huffing and puffing when my husband tries to replace them in the morning but gets it hopelessly wrong.

Do you fiddle and faff with cushions or could you not give a flying fig?

Pictures please.

I'm with TerriBull - no surface in my house is without cushions. I have to restrain myself if I see others that appeal to me. I thought of therapy, but cushions are cheaper.

This thread is a cunning scam, beware!

I'm not going to show you junky addicts my cushions because that's how cushion robbers use GN, to case the joint.
I've seen them roaming the streets with stolen cushions stuffed up their jumpers and down their bottoms.

No cushions on the beds or downstairs, can’t see the point of bed ones as I like to pull the duvet almost off the bed so it can air.Our living room furniture is comfortable without cushions.
Have enjoyed seeing some lovely cushions on here tho. There is a fashion for embroidery wool ones just now and they are really lovely.I like the William Morris patterns too.Maybe I can be persuaded to go over to the dark side😂

It can be a very dark side, if you go for deeper tones, purple, crimson for example. Even with lighter colours, don't be fooled, by the softness of cushions. They are simply the crack cocaine of soft furnishings. I've known people start with one or two and before long they've graduated to the bigger stuff like throws, blankets and rugs, once they've reached that stage it's really too late, often those hardened addicts can be found of an evening, whilst trying to stay focused on something suitably relaxing and nauseating such as with love Meghan and within minutes they can be found lying comatose under a throw or two surrounded by cushions. The only way out of that state is to embrace hard, hard benches and even then there is a tendency to relapse on entering anywhere that sells such pernicious and dangerous paraphernalia.

So don't say you haven't been warned Oreo!

I’m told it can even lead on to scented candle and fake orchid buying! 🤭Must stay strong.

Cushions slip off my leather sofa so I have a small bean bag to rest against which me and the dog fight over. I do have quite a collection of cushions, though which I might put on the spare bed which isn’t used.

I used to be a fan of having lots of cushions but have stopping buying so many now.
Couldn’t resist this one 🙂

Ahh love your ‘Oor Wullie’ cushion 👍🏻

Oops apologies for the random photo that “attached itself”!

Can’t be doing with cushions on the bed but I do like them on the sofas. Mine badly need replacing but until our littlest grandson grows out of creating trains/boats/planes etc there seems little point! That African drum has seen some action as a steering wheel!

Love your cushion CrazyH

No cushions in the bedrooms - not much point when they would be on the floor all night and most of the day while the bed airs. To be honest it's something I've never understood. Yes they can look nice and add a touch of colour but other than that they are just something else that will need washing and constant moving about.

A few cushions on the sofas, mainly yo add some extra colour to the cream sofas but also something to hide behind during horror films.

Cushions are annoying things that take up space and nobody in my home would use them. Visitors are few. Not for us thank goodness, I see them as too much clutter when I am trying to de-clutter!

Made these hook & loop cushions for last Christmas. I’m rather proud of them 😂

Oh no Sago not only don’t I give a flying fig but I don’t even make my bed!
I fold the duvet back and let the bed air.
However here is a photo of the cushions on the sofa just to prove that I’m not cushionist!

Usedtobeblonde Sat 30-Aug-25 11:58:04

I hope it appears in time.

I can’t seem to post more than one image at a time - sorry! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Patsy70 Sat 30-Aug-25 11:54:32

Another one!

Patsy70 Sat 30-Aug-25 11:53:29

I do love bright cushions, but not on the bed, as I find it a ‘faff’ to put them on/take them off! 🙄. Here are some of mine.

We stayed in a gite in Brittany in July. We took this picture when we saw the bedroom.

My sister moved house and found an embroidery we had both worked on by tge fireside in our youth. I made it into. Cushion where my back is resting against at this moment. It is not very colourful but has great memories!

None on the bed. Ours are pretty boring.
