Good morning from a sunny and bright midlands.
madeleine45 - are you a typist? Your messages are so long. It would take me ages to type all that out.
I’m going to tidy the garden up before more rain.
Just started knitting a cardigan for myself then doing dinner.
Two granddaughters might come tomorrow until Tuesday. Haven’t seen them since march so I’m excited but a bit apprehensive. I’m estrangement from their mam, my daughter.
Hugs to all suffering 🤗🤗🤗

Good morning from a much brighter Black Country, where it rained for quite a few hours from 3pm yesterday. The lawn looks better for it though.

A lovely family and friends get together at Brothers house for his 70th. Had to be a buffet indoors instead of the planned BBQ. A shame as their garden is spacious and absolutely stunning. SIL and brother worked so hard, there was a delicious array of food, where we were spoiled for choice.

No real plans today, I may ring my friend to see if she fancies a walk, not seen her for a while as she was in Florida for 3 weeks and only arrived back Tuesday.

So pleased to hear your DD is recovering well kitty and may be back home today.

Happy Birthday to MrPantglas wine

Thoughts with the FGT's

Your talk of washing made me smile madeleine. My Welsh ma in law would do laundry on a Sunday, fold it and hope to be the first to have it on the line on Monday morning. A bit of a local competition. Hope you can get through what you need to today.

Good morning from sunny Suffolk after a little rain overnight. DS and 2 DGC are coming this morning whilst 3rd DGC from the Ipswich tribe goes shopping for’school stuff’we are told.

DS is going to sort out some scratches all down the side of DH’s car. They are superficial and hopefully can be done without too much bother. DH was going to Dunwich with the little dog for a walk on the beach a few mornings ago and had to squeeze past a huge very badly packed delivery van. He couldn’t avoid a large low hanging rose from a garden and couldn’t wait as cars behind him would have been backing up on the turn off from the A12.

As farm machinery gets bigger every year and the single track lanes around here don’t,it can be quite difficult to avoid scrapes as you edge into the verges…..a small compensation for living in glorious countryside.

Hope all have the best day possible.

Good morning from Shropshire.Dry at the moment.

We had a good visit with mum yesterday although she is struggling with her cast.We then went to Chester to the exhibition at the cathedral. We lit a candle for my niece and the assistant Dean prayed for her.

Today I have a follow up hospital appointment in Shrewsbury.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌻

Good morning from a brightish E E Essex, not sure we will get any rain today.

Absolutely nothing planned for today, other than roast pork later (6/7ish)

I shall enjoy the peace and quiet of a house empty of builders, kindle, coffee and probably biscuits on the sofa.

Wishing Mr.pantglas a very happy birthday 🥂🎂🥳🥞🫐

Swish bags Karmalady 👍

Enjoy your day 🙋‍♀️

Yesterday’s flower show suffered from what felt like a summer’s worth of rain but was still busy and enjoyable and a tribute to British stoicism. Just frustrating to have the only wet Saturday for weeks.

Church in our own village this morning and the Sunday paper looks like a plan though dodging the predicted showers will be necessary. The garden is already looking less beige so I am not complaining.

Good morning all. Sunshine this morning in Glasgow. I’m sure it’s because I packed away the garden parasol yesterday. 😁

Lights out at 11pm last night and I was awake again at 1am! No point tossing and turning, I watched a film, Mrs Dalloway on YouTube until I fell asleep again. Not such a painful mouth today, just waiting for my swollen chin to reduce from what feels like twice its normal size. Not sure what today holds but hopefully I can get out into the garden if the rain holds off and I can hang a washing out too.

Best wishes to all for a pleasant Sunday. I am losing the plot convinced yesterday was Sunday….oh dear.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
We had rain yesterday afternoon but it barely soaked the ground.
DS and GD2 came and I made a chicken casserole.
After dinner GD put her camera card into the TV and did a sideshow of her week in Berlin.
She played the piano for quite a while and then DS played the mandolin.
A quiet day for me today, just tidying round and watch some TV.
Lovely to hear your good news FGT.

Good morning everyone from a sunny but blustery south coast. I’ll try and get some gardening done this morning but I have to watch out for my back and neck when it’s windy or it will be four days of stiffness and pain.
If I stay indoors I really should make a start on clearing out the kitchen cupboards!
FGT’s SOAP dish for lunch. I spice it up a bit! 😂
Hope everyone has the best possible Sunday.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, I must try to get into the habit of reading first thing, I like to read all the posts with my breakfast but increasingly other things seem to intervene and then suddenly it’s too late to post.

For example I’m now rushing out to mass but I want at least to say hello😊

Just read about FGT’ planned family day and I am very happy for them and wish them a lovely time together.

Hope you feel a bit better today Mick and that everyone has a pleasant Sunday. x

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
My sister arrived from London last night and we had a lovely meal in a civilised fashion at my cleared dining room table with candlelight etc. Talked till the cows came home.

I bought raspberries in M&S earlier and standing in the queue, a gentleman came over to tap me on the shoulder to tell me that there were reduced raspberries on the other side. Very kind.

My sister drives up and down the motorways without a second thought, likewise my DD. I’m not keel for long journeys, although motorways don’t bother me.
There is too much growth at the back of the house and it is setting off the sensors of the security lights, need to sort that.

Off on a little trip somewhere with Dsister.
Sorry you have had another episode Mick and thoughts to all🌺

Good morning Mick and all GN's on a slightly windy, greyish morning but with a hint of sun coming up

Was it a quoted post or is my iPad (along with my brain) playing up? confused

A bit too much information there, I think, Mick!

I think it was quoted because Madeleine posted on an old thread and LadieGracie kindly transferred it.

Good morning everyone. A little late today. DH went out for the Sunday papers earlier and got caught in a downpour. Absolutely drenched when he got home, put he faded put the papers up his jumper and they were relatively dry….so that’s all right then.
Sun is out now.
Just potted up a laurel bush and hope to train it into ‘lollipop’. We have been successful with two others so here’s hoping.
A bit windy and chilly here in SW Wales so indoors now and planning our trip to N Wales next month.
Have a good Sunday all .

aggie Sun 31-Aug-25 11:45:49

Very stormy here in Co Armagh, our delphiniums suffered
At least it’s dry , got to Mass and lit candles
Hope we can all enjoy today xx

Me too Kalu. Actually it’s dried but just as I was bringing it in the rain started. Fortunately I don’t care what my neighbours might think of me …. 😊

I can just hear my grandmother ‘tutting!’ 😂
