Good morning Mick, Ash and GM from a damp north Wales where we need all the wet stuff they’re promising over the next fortnight before our mini Wimbledon s back to lush!

It’s the Head Butler, Master Builder and Head Gardener’s birthday today (they’re all 76😂) so the champagne 🍾 will flow for brunch later with blueberry 🫐 pancakes made by Cook (yes dear readers…👩🏻‍🍳- Moi!)

I don’t attend church but hope for a blessed Sunday for all with troubles and that they are soon eased x

Rainy start here, a police helicopter circling found woke me at 4…30am. Must be serious.
Visit from my son this morning, then go and get a paper, cook a nice lunch and knitting.
Grandmattie is your quilt for you or a gift. Everyone tells a story.

Good morning from damp and cooler s somerset

First trip yesterday was on my cycle via the sorting office as my two packages had arrived and I could pay the expected customs fee there. Card was blocked, drat, I had to cycle home. Apparently easily sorted via a quick response to a text from my bank.

Sorted that and have resolved to carry my phone everywhere I can. I had to add an extra 5 miles to my planned ride yesterday. I made 3 bags the other month, small and perfect for slinging cross body. Francli pocket bag pattern. Even waterproof as I used dry waxed cotton, just enough space for phone, key, money and tissue and will be slender under a coat

Photos are francl bag and the 2 needle sets, I am chuffed with those, such tiny packages which each contains 12 full sets of needles interchangeable to make circulars and single point needles of any length, contains tips, cables, end stoppers, joiners etc. That was a big downsize and upgrade for me but I am set up for life and 100% recommend this make

Needless to say the rest of yesterday was hedonistic with a delicious coffee after my cycle ride, the lanes were full of the scent of cider from fallen apples in the orchards btw

Knitting and just gentle pottering followed, a lovely uplifting day tbh in spite of the whole afternoon being gloomy outside.

Have a good day

Good morning from Bristol. We had some rain in the late afternoon; gorgeous.
I watched a programme on summer ‘76 last night; this summer seems much the same without the plague of ladybirds, although for a couple days they looked like berries on my Cotoneaster. Perhaps we’re going to get a lot of rain next month…
Church coffee was really nice; we were about 20. A large number for a regular Saturday, but this month seems to have attracted a larger number than usual.
I’m well into the assembly of my quilt; it’s very bright and cheerful.
Another quiet day after the church service; more sewing I expect. Keeps me busy.
Have a blessed Sunday ✝️. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a still dark Torbay with rain expected. The grass in the park opposite me is recovering from the drought by becoming green again. Nearby horse chestnut trees are already beginning to look autumnal!

Yesterday I managed the Lidl shop and was fortunate to have help from my neighbour in the garden flat to carry bags from the car and up the steps. What a blessing to have kind neighbours!

Early service at church then indoor chores beckon. A blessed Sunday to you all! 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩
