red moon due Sunday night 7 september

Blood Moon.

Caused by Lunar Eclipse. Best time is when it rises at approx 7.30 or so. It will then be in full eclipse.

I would like to see it but it could be too cloudy as we are getting heavy thunderstorms with low cloud today.

Fingers crossed that I get to see it. I shall go outside in good time, but unfortunately rather struggling today and cant go to somewhere darker and higher to watch. But still hope to see it here. Today we have a grey but not cold day with some breeze so hope that it will not rain or get dark clouds to spoil the effect.

I used to get a bit excited by events such as these.
The Wolf moon! The Blood moon!!! The Hunting Moon!!!
The Wo!f- Blood- Hunting Moon even!!!!!
Yet all I ever see is a Moon, a beautiful Moon but with not a sniff of either Badger, Ferret or whatever it's supposed to be this time.-around. 😶

I went out to look at 9.30pm.
Well i admit I was putting out the recycling and looked east.
It did not look red to me.
Pretty ordinary. Quite low in the sky. Big. Luminous. Almost like the outline of lands on the surface. Perhaps I was too late.

Was almost a full circle.
Not a crescent shape.
I presume it was the moon I was looking at ...

Yes, it happened at around 7.30pm.

Taken a few minutes ago. It was really quite cloudy so unfortunately missed it earlier

We caught a corner of it and it was red.
