It wasn't as alarming as I thought it would be.

I’d forgotten all about the alarm, was just clicking in to GN as it sounded, and all I got was a minuscule blip as it began, with a message that flashed up and disappeared in a nanosecond. I’d have been blissfully unaware if it had been a real emergency.

I didn’t get one. I have a newish phone on 4G/5G, OS up to date, not switched off or on airplane mode. It was on the stairs outside my open sitting room door so I should have heard it?

Mine wasn’t very loud. Message stayed on the screen until I pressed OK.

I didn’t get one but DH did.

Ours both went off three times, thou last time they did the test neither of our phones responded. I'm glad it worked as we live on the river bank!

How strange some didn’t get it mine went off the once fairly loudly but not as loud as I expected
I didn’t notice a message but didn’t really look just reached over to put it off
Not much good if not everyone got it are you suppose to let anyone know if you don’t receive it ?

My phone is upstairs and I didn’t hear a thing.
I dont carry it round with me when I am home.

Both of our phones went off and a message appeared, was fairly loud but not very long, I think a genuine alarm call would need to last a bit longer.

I didn't get one. Not very reassuring in an emergency situation.

iPhone - it was right beside me, lasted a few seconds but wasn’t as loud as I’d expected it to be. If it was a real alert, it would surely last longer and be louder? Message stayed on screen until I unlocked the phone.

If you didn’t get one maybe your phone is too old I suppose they are working on the assumption if 8 out of 10 get it hopefully those without phones or phones too old will be notified by someone that did At least you now know your phone won’t accept a warning and you have to be alerted another way
