Hope everyone is aware of the storm due this weekend. Lots of wind and rain. Some of us will be needing the thick socks and extra blankets.

Oh, absolutely not. We have an absolute ban on any form of heating going on before October at the earliest, and even then it would only be the woodburner. Central heating is reserved for the very coldest of conditions - talking about frost, snow etc.

I’ve put the central heating on. I go by the temperature rather than the time of year, and it is 11 degrees here.

Autumn is early this year and it’s chilly this evening. I’m very tempted to switch on my electric fire, just to warm the sitting room.
In the end I put on my dressing gown, over my clothes, and thick socks.
Has anyone actually put on their central heating yet?
