Marydoll 💐.
I agree, MD. Monday isn’t far away, and you can give your family all th3 gen. From experience, don’t keep things from them, they worry far more and that’s not fair on them….
Big hugs and 🍀🤞
Good Morning from a blustery damp Co Armagh
It’s a pity because there’s an old fashioned Fair day planned for the Village today , there are lots of farming things and demonstrations planned for the square
I’m sure it will be fun , I’ll wrap up well and take my rollator on a tour
Marydoll 💐🕯️
Georgesgran, the GP made it clear that things are not good.
💐*Marydoll*.
I think you’ve made the right decision and Monday isn’t too long to wait. I sincerely hope things aren’t as bad as you may be anticipating. X

Just heard on the radio 3 nuns have escaped from a nursing home and gone back to their convent . The church closed it down due to repair costs. But it didn't say if they where going to let them stay as that's where they want to die . Hope they let them stay. Especially as they had spent their lives there .
Good morning.
I’m a bit late this morning, had a late night so, will come back later to read all the news.
Local food shop first and then some jobs to do in the garden. Relax with some craft work later.
This weekend is our towns food festival so it will be busy. We’ll hopefully be going tomorrow for our lunch.
Wishing all a good day.
MD
When you walk through a storm, always a golden sky
Morning, we got up to heavy rain, now there’s a glimmer of light.
Ludlow festival sounds great Pantglas what a lovely day, hope it stays dry.
Yesterday I was out and about, stretch class, farm shop - where I stood chatting to a friend until the rain started, we arranged a proper meet up. Then on to the village butcher and home where floors were washed before MrJ went out to teach bowls and I went to the pub.
My son went to the funeral of his friend who committed suicide, he was very upset, so sad.
Today newspaper and who knows, let’s see what the weather does.

Good morning all from a damp Glasgow, where it is only 9 °C.
Pants, that is my idea of an ideal day out. I would love it.
GM, you are so talented.💗
Most of yesterday was spent changing passwords and settings on just about every electronic device in the house, after the router was eventually replaced. The engineer was here for hours.
The devices and phones, as expected, kept looking for the old router, which of course had gone to the router graveyard.
DH's priority was the lounge TV, otherwise he would be unable to watch his beloved sport. 😉
You will have to wait, until I find time to sort the conservatory one (which had a blank screen) .
My daily treat is to have lunch in the conservatory and watch videos of various flea markets abroad, I was not amused, but neither was I prepared to wait for him.
I think, he realised, he had been a bit selfish and later came in to sort it, only to find me watching TV. 🤣
Later he offered to help me update my own PC, because he was having trouble connecting his own to the new router.
What are you doing, he asked. I'm on the Internet, browsing the White Stuff and Monsoon sales,
He still couldn't get on to his P.C.
Never underestimate MD. 😉
The female GP, I spoke to yesterday was very kind. She kept asking, which GP, requested the various tests.
No-one, I said. It was the Oral Medicine consultant, who was concerned. I have been asking for help for months, with little response.
Then I think, she realised the enormity of the incompetence of those responsible for my care.
Unfortunately, the news was not at all positive, the GP, although gentle, did not sugar coat it. It seems that I have a difficult journey ahead of me, as obviously something is seriously wrong, according to the results.
On Monday, I have a face to face appointment with the same GP, to start the process of a fast track referral.
I have made the decision not to tell my children, until my diagnosis is confirmed. There is no point in them worrying and I don't want them quizzing me, until I have actually seen a consultant.
As always, I shall meet this and deal with it in my usual head on manner!
After all, I have plenty of experience dealing with major health issues.😉
Today, somehow, I have to cobble together some rotas for church, I am so far behind. I seem to have lost all the scraps of paper, reminding me, when people are on holiday. No surprise there.
You can bet your bottom dollar, that DD and SIL or Babydoll, will appear at the precise moment, I am tearing my hair out and need peace and quiet. 🤣
I wish you all a pleasant day and best wishes to all the poorlies.
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, but showers are expected this afternoon. Much cooler this morning; like another GN, I will be putting the autumn weight duvet on the next time I change the bedding.
I am trying to write this before a cat realises I am up and about as once she comes onto my lap it gets extremely difficult using my Kindle tablet!
A gentle morning, apart from a visit from DD-out-law to pick up a folding garden chair for DGD2 to borrow; apparently she is going to outdoor cinema today and will need something to sit on.
Then an early lunch and off to the cinema again to meet a friend and see the new Downton Abbey film - looking forward to it very much. There will be 🍷 taken...
Steak for dinner when I get back, cooked in my new cast iron griddle pan. Already used it once and it seems ok.
And then to watch the Last Night of the Proms! Also lots of Women's World Cup Rugby to watch; it's the quarter-finals this weekend. And also our County Cricket team is through to the finals day of the T20.
Lovely quilt grandMattie, you are so talented and have the patience of Job to arrange and sew all those shapes in such a pleasing pattern.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Good morning from a brightening northwest after rain.
The plumber called after my art group yesterday and it looks as if it’s a rather big job, which could involve breaking tiles to get at the leak or possibly a camera might locate it under the house from the cellars. Will try and involve the insurance company.
Quiet day today catching up with housework.
Thoughts to Bellasnana whywhywhy and lovely work grandmattie🌺
.
Good morning from a sunny NE after overnight rain.
A disturbed night because I have a very sore back, spent the day sitting in the study shredding old paperwork.
DD travelled from Brussels to London yesterday and attended the Kanneh-Mason family concert at the Barbican, she met up with SIL. They are travelling north this afternoon and we will meet with the rest of the family tomorrow for Sunday lunch.
Have a good weekend.
A quick morning all from sunny Devon. We are going home today and hope the motorway isn’t too busy!
I will read through all your missives on my return.
Good morning all and it’s a bright, cool start to the day here in Essex. Rain forecast later.
Very mixed weather yesterday, as we left the pub with our pals, the heavens opened and we got soaked getting back to the cars.
I’d left my washing out but my fears were alleviated as there had been no rain at home, only a few miles away.
Nothing on today, May shop, May go to the cinema, May do some declutterring. The shed is a mess! May clear the pots and plant bulbs. Who knows! The world’s my oyster! 😉
DS1 may come round to chop some shrubs. Who knows ! 🤷🏻♀️.
Lovely quilts GM.
I hate goodbyes too, Bellasnanna. 😢. Keep busy!
Take care all. 🌼
Good morning from a bright Suffolk although we expect showers later.
There are so many events going on around here for the next 9 days for Heritage Open Days some of which require tickets but most are open to all and all are free.
We are going to a tour of the United Reform church in a local town which we have walked past on many occasions but never ventured inside. It is a huge impressive looking building and there is a talk about the beliefs, practices etc.
For tomorrow I’ve managed to get tickets, which are very limited in number for a tour of a building which used to be a bank and which closed many years ago. Attached is what was the manager’s house which has been in private ownership since the bank closed. I hope we can see the vaults!
I hope that all enjoy whatever plans are made for the weekend and those not in the best of health or with worries find some comfort.
Good morning from a sunny midlands.
Thank you for all your uplifting kind wishes yesterday. Black dog and estrangement are horrible. Hugs to all.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve grey clouds and rain in the air
Safe travels to your DD Bellas and good luck to your DD with her cycling karma
I’ve a hairdressers appointment this afternoon so looking forward to a bit of pampering and a catch up on all the local news
Enjoy the food festival Pantglas sounds good
Hoping your feet improve a bit today grandmabatty, lovely to have lots of cuddles yesterday
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire where we are promised a dry day, so laundry is on the agenda, as well as house cleaning. For some reason my electric clock is almost two hours slow this morning, so I have been thinking it is five past six and it’s ten to eight!
Yesterday I went out and bought what I hope will be my last lot of paint testers. I’m now beginning to understand why my dear late sister in law painted everything white! I may yet do the same!
Have the best day you can, folks.
Good morning from a hot and sunny Marathi in Crete. It’s been cloudless the whole week. I hadn’t been expecting it to be so hot. I have assiduously applied factor 50 facial suncream for many years so I was very cross with myself for forgetting yesterday and have a red face and neck today.
Tonight we are getting a taxi to a restaurant out of the village on a recommendation. The prices in the hotel are so high that just about nobody eats lunch as breakfast is served until 11am. We’ve not been hungry at all at lunchtime. Service is abysmal but they are very short staffed. We won’t be returning despite the beauty of the area.
We’ve seen typhoon eurofighters practicing on a few occasions as we are near a NATO airbase and they share facilities with the airport. 300 American service personnel are based there.
I’m glad you got through your niece’s funeral Susan56. It must have been extremely difficult for everyone.
Wishing everyone a good weekend.
