A daft thing you've done recently

Nellygran. You've reminded me of the time I was going home from work on the bus and seeing my car on the car park as we passed. I'd forgotten I had driven to work that morning.
Something daft I did this week..... called out the plumber because the shower was not working. He turned the switch to the left.....out poured the water. I felt an idiot. We both laughed about it. My lovely plumber didn't charge me for attending to the non existent problem.

Sometimes when DH is driving me somewhere and I see something unusual, I think 'I'll just wind that back'. I think I'm a TV addict!

Going 5 miles to the garage to get my car fixed only to realise I’d forgotten my car (got a lift there so I wasn’t alone in that daftness).

Looking everywhere for my glasses - when they were on my head. Not a one off, I’m afraid!

Looking for my phone, when it was actually in my left hand! That was a one off, I’m relieved to say!

So many of you have made me smile this morning.
My stupid thing was to buy a train ticket last week on Trainline, to go from Haymarket to Dunfermline. Arrived at Haymarket forgetting you have to scan the ticket to get through the barrier. I had buried my phone at the very bottom of my rucksack so had to completely unpack it. We missed the train we were aiming for. Dtr was not impressed.

I'm moving house quite soon so have a lot on my mind.
Saturday morning I'd showered and started to dress. I put on my bra, reached into a drawer for a clean bra (nothing wrong with the first one) and attempted to put it on. Only when it felt odd did I realise that I was already wearing a bra. grin

I have been known to point my car key at the house door and expect it to unlock

After searching every shelf in the veg aisle this afternoon I accosted a supermarket staff member to ask where the mushrooms were. With a very straight face he turned me round, yes, they were behind me. Don’t ask how many times I’d looked along that shelf.

I’ve lived in a bungalow for over 10 years clicketyclick and still think I’ll go and look out of an upstairs window when I hear an unidentified noise. Old habits die very hard with me 😂.

Nodded off with a cup of tea in my hands....oh dear.

I was reading the menu in a restaurant. When I got to the bottom of the page, I swiped my finger on it to move to the next one! Think I'm using my phone too much?!

😂 bet it was their best call of the day, and they always want feedback don’t they?

I did a similar thing Oreo. I speak to my DD on the phone every day and I always sign off with "Bye, love you". The other day the surgery rang to tell me the results of my recent blood test --- you can probably guess the rest.

I defrosted the deep freeze.
Managed to catch myself on the opening catch.
Took 10 days before I healed.

I was on the phone to DD last Friday morning when I had to open the door for an Amazon delivery, I took the parcel and said ‘thanks darling’ to a very surprised looking driver.
DD did the sigh and said ‘oh, Mum!’🤭

Mine was when I heard a very strange loud noise coming from a next door garden. I decided to go upstairs to look out the back bedroom window find out what it was. I then remembered that I now live in a bungalow grin
