I should not be eating any as a diabetic and in any case, none of them interest me as I have always been a dark chocolate fan, so will walk past with very little temptation to buy them. In our house as achild it was the biscuit tins that became the cake tins of the future, as a mixed choice biscuit tin was the special christmas treat we had. Between us all the biscuits were enjoyed, and each family member liked different ones, so they then progressed to being in the pantry filled with various cakes my mum used to make from fruit cakes to parkin. No freezer then so she would sometimes hide a cake she wanted to keep in a lower tin with other empty ones over the top and then the top with some common thing like scones or buns to keep us from delving deeper. Didnt work well though!
