I was born in Perivale, Middlesex, although we were actually living in Acton.

My daughter was supposed to go to Wexham Park in Slough to have her first baby because her oxygen levels were low. However she didn't mention the oxygen and gave birth at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, because she thought Ascot would look better than Slough on the birth certificate!

Pre-NHS so in a nursing home on Mutley Plain in Plymouth.

I’ve still got the bill. Middle of winter so bill included laying and lighting a fire in my room😊.

Midwife called Sister McAndrew Campbell.

Can’t remember doctors name

I worked on Mutley Plain and lived in lodgings there too!

But that was after you were born as I don't remember a nursing home there although the Eye Hospital was.
My first DC was born at Freedom Fields Hospital.

It probably closed after the start of the NHS. I must get the bill out to see how much it was😊

Llfl mentioned Reading which is near where I live now. My three children were born there plus all six of my grandchildren and my daughter in law and her brothers and sisters as well as her nephews and nieces and sister in law making about 25 in all for Reading . Me? I was born in Woking.

Bolton. I was born 6 weeks before the NHS started and my mother never let me forget it, as though it was my fault!

Tunbridge Wells. It should have been Maidstone but there was an outbreak of something that meant it was changed. Looks posh on my birth certificate!

I went to school in Sidcup Nanna8
