I'm not fancying a Snickers bar today unfortunately!

DH came home today with a big box of Dairy Box Aldom.
I’ll think of your dream when we open it.

Revels or malteasers are my favourite

Azalea99 Wed 24-Sept-25 19:34:45

Mmmm! Love almost all of them, but my current favourite is cherry covered in dark chocolate.
Does anyone remember Fry’s 5 boys? I think I only saw them in a vending machine on Stirling station platform. Nowadays I’d probably find them too sweet.
@Kate1949 We were doing so well - similar name, same birth year and similar fathers, but oh no - you blew it with the Bounty bars! Heartbreak.

I am the same WelshPoppy except currently the Aldi version

WelshPoppy Wed 24-Sept-25 18:48:13

My favourite at the moment is the Tesco version of the snack size Mars bars

Aldi’s chocolate covered marzipan.

Chocolate covered marzipan..... bliss 😋

I tried Lindt dark chocolate with pistachio filling for the first time today. Bit of a splurge but it was lovely.

Starbar would be my first choice but I would happily (greedily?) accept any of the others! Not keen on coffee fillings so my DH has to eat those before he can choose anything else from a box of chocolates!

Allira and the wine that goes with the chocolate is vegan.

I eat more fruit than chocolate.

Today it was chocolate but it was vegan chocolate (another lot that DD left behind). I didn't like it that much.

Mint aeros are my favourite but wouldn't refuse any of those mentioned. I'm a chocoholic but had to get it under control to lose weight. I succeeded but miss my chocolate.

where do you buy the dark chocolate bounty, I've never seen one

pably15 Wed 24-Sept-25 16:09:43

at the moment it's Bounty bars, I have one every day, keep a stash hidden, might be addicted....Mabon, I also eat beautiful fruit...not just as often though...

Lupatria Wed 24-Sept-25 16:09:36

i meet a friend at our local tesco's cafe every wednesday after we've shopped. usually i have a kit kat with my coffee - i tend not to eat chocolate otherwise.
today unfortunately she's not well so i did my shopping on my own and decided not to have coffee - mainly because the lift isn't working and i just hate the travellator thing alone!

You should not buy any chocolate bars, they are full of calories, eat a beautiful fruit instead.

Actually, chocolate is derived from the seeds of a fruit, sugar is derived from plants by photosynthesis. 🤔

Crunchie used to be my favourite too but last time I had one I found it very sweet.
I like a dark chocolate Bounty but you don’t often see the dark choc ones.

Snap. Loved the crunchie Bar, but sadly it sticks to my teeth and makes them ache. 🥲

But now, a Dark Bounty ..mmmmm. Where's Jeeves when you need him...

A chocolate orange -something thrilling happens when you bang it on the tablet and those segments invite you to eat them .
I have one at Easter , on my birthday and on Christmas day .

Does anyone remember Dairybox chocolates?
When I was around nine years old I dreamt there was a box of Dairybox on a table close by. I actually reached out to pick up the box.... and fell out of bed. No table....no chocolates! grin

I love a Star Bar, especially when it comes in a twin pack! They have a caramel and peanut centre.

Why haven’t I heard of this before? Sounds right up my street.
Are you in the US or Oz?

I am in the UK. Tesco ,Co-op and most corner shops sell them. My local supermarket is Asda, who don't stock them.

About 30 years ago I was given a box of Milk Tray by one of my children so of course I said how wonderful they were... thirty years later, what is my default Christmas/birthday present? Yes, you're right it's a big box of Milk Tray!

JamesandJon33 Wed 24-Sept-25 15:02:31

We can't all be perfect mabon2
We'll have to leave that to you whilst we have the occasional indulgence. grin
