At the beginning of of the week whilst wandering in the garden, I stood in front of some cosmos plants and said that I would be pulling them up as I was very disappointed that they hadn’t flowered not flowered.
Look what I found this morning. 😁

Lovely, ginny. Could you now have a word with ours?

I've told my Gladiolis that I'm very disappointed with them .
I showed them my spade and told them that they are going to be dug up .
There's a few more blooms ,but not many.
They actually invited the fat Tom cat from next door to sit on them.
As for those Peonies- I think that they are in cahoots with the Gladioli.
I bet that they stick their anthers out at me as I walk away .

when an unfeeling person trod on a smiling rosette of daisies I apologised and commiserated with the tiny flowers.

My cosmos went in the garden waste bin yesterday, they hadn't done much at all this year.

But thank you, ginny, could I remember the name of them when I was telling DH ? No.

My cosmos have been amazing this year but the deadheading has gone on and on and on.
Not my favourite job.
