Good morning from a grey W Kent. Completely out of the blue I had a really bad night. I wonder if too much went on yesterday. The u3Aspeaker was an actress who had appeared in HiDiHi amongst many other things and was very good.
Today one of my art groups and catch up with a friend, hope I stay awake!
Best wishes to all

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. We will not see the sun at all this week and it’s going to be colder. School was fun yesterday and I managed to get through my list and write up my notes without a scramble. I came home and finished sorting out my bedroom prior to moving back in. I’ll leave it until the weekend now as the plumber is coming on Thursday to look at why the toilet in the en-suite is leaking round the base of the pedestal. I suppose I might be looking at a new one.
Gym this morning and then Writers group today at the library. We are to have a talk by three writers on, amongst other things, getting work published. Not something I’m looking to do, but I know there are a couple of members that are interested in doing that.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a still dark S E Essex.

I am going out today with my longest standing friend, she is loyal, funny and good in a crisis.

It is an 0 birthday I cannot say what we are doing or where we are going as she sometimes reads GN.

Pleased you enjoyed Malta grandMattie it’s a place we enjoy especially M’dina.

Thinking of those with illness or troubles.

Enjoy your day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from yet another dull and cloudy Black Country.

A great day out yesterday with my friend to Gloucester. Lunch by the Docks, and some shopping.

Over to Mums today to take her food shopping, but first visit my ex work colleague who lives nearby for a chat and cuppa.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning from s somerset, colder today but dry

I didn`t sit down until 12, busy doing things in the house and mostly in the kitchen, then at 6 I started to cook my blackcurrant jam. 9 big kilner jars, topped with a little gin. All 9 popped with loud pops and are now ready to store for a long time. My longest time before eating so far was hm marmalade, 14 years and it had the most lovely mature taste, my ds asked for it every day. I won`t be making any more blackcurrant jam, ever, I dug out my blackcurrant bushes and bought b/c jam never tastes the same

Two more days and I will have finished sleeve 1. Then another two weeks and the gansey will be finished. A true labour of love, very much appreciated by my ds, who will soon move to Aberdeen.

I cleaned the kitchen yesterday so all I have to do this morning is hang the maslin in my garage and put the jars to store in a dark place

I feel like a trip out and am going to Wells, it is farmers market day and I will visit the cathedral grounds too. I did dither between bus or car but the car is more comfy and the bus takes a long time. I do like the views from the bus but will save that experience for another time

Home for lunch and then knitting, a cosy afternoon for me and again, I may light my stove. It only took 3 small logs and a bit of kindling to warm my house yesterday. I have full control over the airflow and the stove window is still clear after three days use, the small pile of wood-ash goes into my hotbins for compost

Have a good day

Good morning, it’s dry, dark and chilly here on the hillside in south Glos.
Usual chores yesterday before I had a very inspirational two hours watching my favourite artist do a tutorial on line and wash and I had a complete lightbulb moment.
I have always struggled with pure watercolour painting, I don’t think I have more than one or two paintings that I like (all the rest have been binned), yet I have tried and tried.
I don’t know why it’s taken several years for me to realise that I can do whatever form of art I like, not carry on trying to conform to what others say or do at art classes etc!
So mixed media it is for me! I spent a happy couple of hours sorting through everything I have and, believe me, there’s plenty of!
My DCs had an eye roll at me too when I told them that I’d suddenly realised that Pumpkin latte isn’t some revolting mixture of pumpkin and coffee but the spices used with the pumpkin…….
Quite honestly I do wonder at how my brain works (assuming I have more than a single cell!) 🤷🏼‍♀️
Here’s to hoping more revelations for me!

Good morning from Malta where we expect showers and a high of 25°C.

So glad you enjoyed your day yesterday grandMattie. You have certainly packed a lot into a short time and I’m happy you’ve enjoyed your stay. Safe journey back to Blighty.😊

We also went to Mdina yesterday for lunch and then I took my friend for a tour around the country lanes and areas which have not yet been ruined by overbuilding.

Not sure what we will do today but it will involve a trip out somewhere as my friend has a number of places she wants to revisit.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning from a dark but dry Nogent le Bernard.

The cats had survived their “holiday” and were the only feline residents when we collected them although there were several dogs which were very vocal! They soon settled at home and enjoyed exploring familiar territory.

The sun made it warm enough for me to read outside in the afternoon whilst DH rode the lawn tractor to make a start on taming the grass again.

Happy hump day, everyone and safe journeys to the travellers

Good morning from a still dark Valletta. Our last day ☹️
Yesterday was probably my favourite.yes, bellasnana, it was Mosta and Mdina. Tha basilica was amazing, with its round shape, giving a lovely airiness and feeling of space; the “bomb site”, but most of all, although much decorated, it wasn’t overdone. I’m afraid I’m not into too much gold and ornamentation - my puritan side, I suppose.
Mdina was utterly charming, compact, ancient and very pretty. The views were lovely.
I have had a wonderful time, met our own bellasnana, lots of WI ladies from other institutes and, most importantly, visited Malta!
Today, Valletta’s army/weapons museum before going on to the airport. We shan’t get home before nearly midnight.🕛
Hugs to all, particularly the mountaineers.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
