Good morning from Bristol.
Yep, I’m home now! It’s a lot chillier here now - funny how one adjust so quickly to the temperature and weather.
Our last day, yesterday, was long. After packing, etc., we took our coach for a last trip, this time to the War Museum in Valletta.
What a beautifully curated and set out museum! It was too big to “do” the whole thing; I chose the period when the Knights of St. John were occupying the island, especially the great siege by the Ottoman Turks. They had three timelines - one for world history, one for the Knights and one for the Turks. So very interesting.
A reasonably quick lunch in the perfect weather (before the forecast storm), then on to the airport where we said farewell to our delightful an£ knowledgeable guide, Matthew.
The return journey was long and tiresome but I was dropped off home just before midnight. As I had dozed on the flight to London and coach journey back here, I didn’t sleep very long, but it was quality sleep…
Today, usual post-trip stuff.
I’ll read all your posts this week, and hugs all round. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Nicola Sturgeons husband pleads guilty.
What are you avoiding doing in this heat?
