Nicola Sturgeons husband pleads guilty.
Good Morning Everyone,
A dark, dry and cloudy start here in Brackley this morning.
Up to the usual routine of a bus trip to Bicester ,chat to those I know.
Return and go to the local chippy at lunchtime ,I am also expecting my digital phone and new modem to be delivered today .
Will watch cycling on TV which is the Tour of Holland ,with a stage on familiar roads between Sittard and Geleen.

Mick
Jax I hope the dental appointment goes well.I totally understand how you must be feeling.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Good morning from Shropshire. The sun is meant to make an appearance this morning.
DH was discharged from physio yesterday. He then spent the afternoon in the garden on his knees so will probably need another referral soon🤦🏼♀️
I haven’t had the best night so glad of a quieter day until early evening when we will collect DGS from home and then DGD from orchestra. They will then come back here for a sleepover.
I hope your pain eases as the morning progresses madeleine and that you feel better too Grandmabatty.
Like other my thoughts are with the FGT’s.
Thoughts with all struggling with illness and worries about loved ones.
Blossoming I am sure you are so excited to be going home this morning🥳
Wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌻
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s just getting light, looks grey and cloudy
Thoughts are with our FGT and hoping her dear man gets home today
I’m off to the gym today for a couple of classes then having a coffee with my pal in town
Such sad news for your niece Baubles
Hoping all goes ok at the dentist Jax
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning from a bright Malta. Yes,Bellanana we had a beautiful sunny day in Gozo yesterday.
Today we are visiting Medina, Rabat and St. Paul’s catacombs. Mosta church this afternoon , so another full day . Looks like sunshine again.
Will read all the news later.
Wishing all a good day.
FGT love and prayers for you both for strength and healing.
Marydoll I don’t post much but I do read most days. Lovely lady take care of yourself please. Love and hugs.
Good morning from Wiltshire. Not looked outside yet but I suspect more of the same.
The sun put in a very brief appearance around midday. We had lunch at a lovely garden centre restaurant yesterday, with our youngest GC’s other grandparents. We chatted there for nearly 3 hours. Sadly, bought nothing plant wise or otherwise in this particular garden centre as it’s so expensive compared with others around.
We saw a video of GS2 (youngest GC) in Reception, receiving a prize at school for being kind and thoughtful to other pupils and clearing up the classroom without being asked. I decided the child I saw in the video had been cloned somehow. 😂
Flu jab on Wednesday has left me with a painful, red and heavy arm still - DH with nothing at all and he’s the one with multiple allergies. I always react badly to every jab I have. I felt a bit spaced out at the restaurant yesterday.
Waitrose trip later on today and more bags of compost to purchase.
My heart and very best wishes go out to you both FGTs I can’t imagine how hard your situation must be. 💞
I hope your daughter gets well soon Harrigran.
Peli I loved your Halloween photo yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from still dark South Lanarkshire. I haven’t yet checked what the weather is doing.
A niece by marriage has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s only mid thirties, isn’t life a lottery.
Flu vaccines for both of us today but nothing else in the diary. I’ve got some paint sample pots to daub around the hallway to add to the ones already there. I’m finding it difficult to get just the shade I’m imagining.
Thinking of all those coping with illness, sadness, and worries.
Morning, the sky is lightening to cloud, but we had glorious sun yesterday.
I’ve an early appointment for a tooth extraction with immediate denture, it’ll be a quiet day.
Tesco delivered yesterday so the fridge is full.

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, it’s dark so probably cloudy. Yesterday we had a lovely sunny morning and a bright afternoon, most unexpected. DD1 and her DH finished work early and her DH drove me home while it was still light. After a day of struggling to get comfortable on their very low furniture I was pleased to be home. The dog was very well behaved all day and the granddaughters played nicely when they got home from school.
The 10 year old had been to Duxford on a school trip - my DH’s favourite place!
I must force myself to walk to the pharmacy for my prescription and more paracetamol. I have a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday but have no great hopes of any relief for my back pain.
Hair cut and a food delivery will complete my Friday!
A busy day baking for you llfl, a slice of the Sachertorte for me please!
Hoping for a better day for the fgts.
For those who are meeting friends, have a good time!
Thinking of those with mountains to climb.
Have as good a day as you can folks.
Good morning from a gradually brightening Nogent le Bernard with sunshine forecast. It’s so quiet here that we’ve slept late by our standards!
My prayers for those who are struggling especially both FGT’s.
Thank you for your encouraging words yesterday, Susan56; you are right as I am so much better now than in the Spring.
Safe journey to NannyKate.
Have a restful day, Grandmabatty for a change.
I was anxious about having my two vaccinations together recently, GrannyGravy13, but was absolutely fine. I take paracetamol regularly for arthritis and I think it helped. In France, the advice is to take paracetamol an hour before Covid vaccinations which seems to work for DH,
What a ghastly accident befell those poor Maltese couples, Bellasnana! May they RIP and rise in glory.
Good luck with the walk, Kittylester!
A good day where wherever you are. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Was sorry to see FGT’s sad update.
I keep thinking about them, can only imagine how she must be feeling.
Good morning from south Glos where we did have 20 minutes of sunshine yesterday afternoon but otherwise rather gloomy 🤷🏼♀️
I enjoyed my Zoom nature journalling meet-up last night, it’s good to learn something new, isn’t it?
Art group this morning - I’m starting a mixed media project so I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.
Thinking of FGT and all with worries and troubles x
Take care 🌹
Good morning Mick and all GN's on a very dark morning, still in Northumberland. Have had a horrible night with pain all over, but leg and hip worse, and gave up and got up about 4.30. The plan was to at least have a little wander along Hadrians wall. No chance! So once I have been able to get myself going I hopefully will at least be able to look at some books and things in the community charity shop, and find a consolation prize. At least when I get back I will have my laptop and can catch up with all sorts of news and read what has been going on with you all. It has been rather frustrating using the phone to say the least. However the morning has now improved greatly, as I have fresh coffee to hand and beloved Bach on the radio. Things look much brighter!.
I shall read more of your posts and be able to write what I want without constant need to correct and having to stop myself from throwing the phone across the room!
So may you all have a cheering moment this morning and catch you later.
I had an unexpected invite to Sunday lunch, from a lady I met in cafe Nero. We got chatting when she shared my table and found we had quite a lot in common. She was visiting her partner in hospital and he is now home. So it will be a nice change and something pleasant to think of and take my mind off the lack of sleep, Anyway it has not rained but much colder last night. So autumn colours might be brighter today.
Bellasnana there is only me so I can cope, with much better conditions these days, electric shower, dishwasher, washing machine. I have portable dyson heater as back up and a good electric kettle. It isn`t really a hardship but I am leaving the mess in my living room, I emptied the shallow manifold cupboard in the hall and everything is dumped in my living room
I will appreciate it very much when fixed and have told my engineer, very local family firm and used for 15 years, that I will want to cut my losses in future with this poxy boiler, buy cheap buy twice is true. The builder put this make into all 14 homes here and 4 have already needed repair. Mine is the oldest at 6 years, ariston, parts available but take days to arrive
Good morning everyone from a still dark Northampton, another grey day ahead, like yesterday. But yesterday was brightened by a lovely lunch out with friends at the local garden centre. Lots of news exchanged and catching up over lunch and then a mooch around the large garden centre. I enjoyed hearing about a new grandchild and admired the lovely photo of young Noah, now a week old.
Was lazy when I got home and read for a good couple of hours.
Dance classes this morning - tap, ballet and then barre, and hopefully after all that a welcome coffee at the local bakery.
Then home and will sit and finish my book; I now want to read the next one in the series.
My thoughts are now very much with FGT2 and her dear man. Like a few on here I have trod that path and know how hard it is.
Wishing all the best day possible.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
Today will be a baking day. All I have left in my cake stash is half a honey cake which OH made for a beekeeping competition. His first ever cake! I will make some rich chocolate muffins, a chocolate and raspberry Sachertorte, rhubarb and strawberry cake, Barmbrack and finally I have some pastry leftover so I might make a batch of jam tarts.
My Seasalt dress should be ready to collect today so I’ll pop out at some point and collect it. I’m having the hem turned up by about 4 inches!
I’m thinking of the FGT2S at this really difficult time and pray that they’re together. 🪻
Good Morning from Durham. Still dark, but dry here. Another with a rubbish night - been awake since 5am.
I’m meeting my Monday friend for coffee this morning, as she’s away for another long weekend, extended 70th birthday celebrations.
I’ve DD2’s laundry to finish, but feel I should do something outdoors while it’s light.
So sorry to read FGT’s update yesterday - such a cruel illness.
Best wishes to all. X
Morning all, still dark here.
Will get the 10yr old off to school, then I am off to the gym.
Flu & Covid jabs at lunchtime (I am dithering as never had them both together before)
Thinking of the poorly’s 🙋♀️
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is still dark. The sun is not expected to put in an appearance today but hopefully it will be dry.
The plumbing repair yesterday was successful but expensive as an additional problem came to light so extra time and parts required. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
This morning the boiler is being serviced so more expense, but needs must.
This afternoon, the junior school I volunteer with are having a 5k sponsored walk in the local countryside and I have reluctantly let myself be persuaded to take part. Eight classes, teachers, sundry parents and me! Hmm! At least if I decide to bail, I will be able to find my way home!!
Have the best day you can, folks.
Good morning from Malta where the forecast is for a fine day with a high of 25°C. Yesterday’s forecast was for rain which never appeared, we had a lovely sunny day!
There was a big funeral at my local church yesterday, just a few steps away from my home.
Earlier this month two Maltese couples in their 60’s were killed in a car crash whilst on holiday in Croatia. They had been holidaying together for over 30 years without incident.
Malta being so small, everyone knows everyone, my daughter went to school with one of the sons of the couple whose funeral took place yesterday. Very sad indeed.
We didn’t do much yesterday, a walk to the village for coffee and a bit of shopping. My fridge hasn’t been this full in ages!
Usual hairdo today and will see where my friend would like to go afterwards. The time is flying.
Sorry you had a bad night Grandmabatty, going back to bed sounds like a sensible option.
FGT and Himself are never far from my thoughts. Having trodden a similar path with my DH I know how desperate one feels.😞
karmalady no hot water must be very inconvenient! You are very stoic to think of coping for another week. I think I’d be moving out until it was fixed.🥶
Hoping you all have a good day.☀️
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I am missing the sunshine.
My shop shift this morning and a new U3A group is meeting this afternoon. We are going to plan outings to do things we've always wanted to or not done for
years.
This evening my friend is coming for a meal.
I am thinking of the FGTs and hope they are home.
Happy travels pantglas and others on the move.
May you all have some joy today.
Good morning from s somerset, cooler and dry today
No ch for another week nor hot water, the engineer had a very tricky time removing a part from my 6 year old ariston boiler then he saw that it was the part near that part actually causing the leak. Part is ordered and has to come from afield. He has made everything safe and I told him to leave it as is, I can cope. If this boiler starts to be problematic after this then I will be cutting my losses and getting the boiler he chose for his own home, with parts always available in the uk.
No stove on yesterday and the living room is still at almost 20 but the stove is ready to light later today. Knitting keeps me warm, I am having trouble with sleeve length and have undone a whole sleeve. I will need to steam press the pattern to get the best measurement
Today, just getting on with it, the usual stuff but am enjoying the cedar tree series while I knit
Have a good day
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and dry. Too dark to hazard a guess as to the weather.
Yesterday afternoon was art class and I continued with a painting of an allium. While it was drying, I did a pastel of a pomegranate and I'm really pleased with it. It just needs a little more work done.
Today I'm like a half shut knife. I've had a dreadful night's sleep and I might well go back to bed. I have no plans for today, thank goodness. Have a good day all.
Good morning from another dull and grey Black Country.
Walk at our local Country Park yesterday, walking just over 4 miles. Then surprised to see the Cafe there closed until further notice!
Off to Somerset this morning to the caravan, to get it ready for Winter storage, cleaning and putting dehumidifiers around. Drive back via Bristol to visit *MrJ's DD's
Wishing you all the best day possible, with special thoughts of FGT's
Good morning from a dry Bristol. We seem to be having a long string of grey days.
I have only just woken up- I was too wired to sleep the previous night, but have caught up now!
Yesterday was quiet. The usual stuff - washing, drying, unpacking, etc. I now have to finish off the odd bit of ironing; I’ll do that when pressing the squares for my latest quilt. It’s a very simple one for a baby, but it’s going to be very bright.
Today, I’ve just got my regular “salon”, a good haircut is on the cards though my hair hasn’t grown so much in the cooler weather.
My heart goes out to fgt and Himself. Many prayers and hugs to you.
I hope this weekend will bring peace and comfort to the mountaineers and those who can do with some.
